Underwater Photography
By Richard Jacobs, M.D.

This is a website devoted to showing the beauty of the underwater world. All pictures were taken with the Nikonos camera. Since colors are quickly lost by the filtering effects of water, an underwater strobe was used to restore the natural colors that are present. Some pictures were taken using extension tubes on the camera and represent close-ups of the subject. Pictures in this website were taken all over the world over the last 20 years. I hope you enjoy the wonder of "inner space."
