Halsey Powell Re-union Information

The veterans who served on this mighty ship after 50 years have gotten together and formed the HALSEY POWELL reunion organization. Through a Reunion service, Military Locator & Reunion Service Inc, have been holding reunion get-to-gathers since 1994. The first in Norfolk, Virginia and the last in Omaha, Nebraska. starting on September 21, 2004 and ending on September 25, 2004. Our next Halsey Powell reunion will be held October 4th thru October 8th, 2006..... we will be staying at the  Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, Rhode Island. This will be the very first time we have voted to have  our annual Reunion in the Great North East where our country has so much history dating to the beginning of our Great country....where the majority of the original crew of the Halsey Powell were from.....here's hoping that this year we will have a large turn out of World War Two veterans and  those who look forward to visiting the many Historical sites available.   

 We have on our mailing list some 500 former crew members, many are not with us today and many more are going to their reward everyday. We are all getting to the age where we have very little time left on this earth, please join the ranks of your shipmates and come, enjoy the company of men you knew when you were young and full of patriotism, hear and tell the memories that you have. See how time has taken care of these aged shipmates...enjoy the company of their mates that come with them, share the family you have now and see pictures of the beautiful young ladies and gentlemen that are their children and Grandchildren....
