Welcome
from our President Please join us on the 1st Wednesday of each month (Sept-May). We would love to meet you and have you be a part of the Woman's Club! Don't let the "Junior" part of our name fool you!! Women of any age over 21 are welcome to attend. We are a diverse group of ladies from stay at home moms to retired grandmas; from volunteers to corporate employees; and from young in age to young at heart. We are a dynamic group, active, and devoted to bettering our community. We are also fostering lifelong friendships and having FUN!! Sincerely, Judy Anderson |
The Papillion Junior Woman's Club (PJWC) is a civic organization, founded in 1935. While we are first and foremost a civic organization, good fellowship is offered as a close second. Our goal is to provide assistance to those around us who may be in need. A key
aspect of our civic support is through our membership in the Papillion Community Foundation where the PJWC is on the Board of Directors. Every year the club identifies many worthy causes to contribute our resources to. Our two main fundraisers are a "Derby Duck Race" and our famous funnel cake booth, both held during Papillion Days. In addition, we stress community involvement among our members, who donate their time and talent to numerous organizations as a group and as individuals. A key focus this year has been the Sumtur Amphitheater at Walnut Creek, including a wine & cheese fund raiser hosted by Ron and Diane Withem The fellowship we offer is reflected in the "fun" things we do: Dubbs Bridge, progressive dinners, attending theater presentations, etc. Each of these events allows for members to learn more about one another as well as the club's purposes and goals. While having fun, we also work hard. While PJWC is centered in the local community, it is part of a larger District, State, National, and International organization - the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC). |
