Reletter your Bachmann Bros. Zebra Car
to match your Emmett Kelly Jr. Circus Trains
Step one... Buy the Zebra car
Step two... download the graphics
right click the images below and select save target to save high res jpgs of the new images
IMPORTANT - do not save the images from this page, save the target image which is much larger
Step three... Remove the Bachmann Circus signs from the car. Leave the "zebra car" signs in place.
To remove the larger sign, place your index finder inside the door of the car and push the prongs out from the inside releasing the right side of the sign.
Then slide the sign to the left and carefully release the left side of the sign.
The top prongs on the square sign release by pushing down on the inside. Release the top then gently release the bottom. Having long fingers is a plus here.
Step four... print the images.
The star graphic needs to be printed at two inches wide in order to be the correct size
The lettering graphic needs to be printed at seven inches wide.
I used glossy photo paper for the final print.
You will probably want to do some test printings on regular paper first to insure you have the correct size.
Hold the plastic signs behind the printed paper and hold it up to a light to see if you have the correct size.
Step five... Glue the images to the signs.
First cut out the images but leave extra room around the images which will be trimmed later.
Spray the plastic sign with a light layer of spray adhesive.
The Brand of spray I used is pictured above.
The website www.thistothat.com recommends 3M #77
place the new graphic on the sign....
and quickly hold it up to a light in order to correctly align the image.
When dry, place the new sign face down and trim the paper along the edges of the plastic.
Place the signs back onto the car
