Solemn Assembly

The Lord commanded Israel to
observe certain days.

1. The Lord commanded that the children of Israel were to observe certain days as a holy convocation in which they were to do no servile work.
   
   
2. Some days were even more special and were to be observed in solemn assembly.

The Children of Israel began
to stray from God.

The children of Israel began to stray from God and stopped listening to the prophets.

Even the prophets were
straying from God.

Even the prophets were straying from God and trying to puff themselves up by prophesying lies to the people saying, Thus saith the Lord, when the Lord had said nothing.

God used Ezekiel to deliver a strong warning to the prophets of Israel.

God used Joel to give a warning
to the priests and ministers.

The people still did not make offerings and sacrifices on the feast days and God used Joel to give a warning to the priests and ministers.

God used Amos to
warn the people.

God used Amos to tell the people that even though they continued to observe the feast days and offer sacrifices that he would not be in their solemn assemblies to smell the burnt offerings. This is because they refused to give up their idols and other gods.

Zephaniah tells that
the people refused to obey God.

Zephaniah tells us that it is true how the people of Israel refused to obey God, refused correction, did not trust God, the prophets were evil, and God brought judgment on them. God does give them a promise of a day when he will lift their judgment and bring them back to him.

Is it possible that Zephaniah 3:8 talks about the Great Tribulation period and verses 9 through 20 talk about the Thousand Years Period of peace?
