Who are the sons of God?

In the Old Testament

The sons of God were sons of Seth who were led by God and the daughters of men were daughters of Cain who refused to allow God in their lives.

Genesis 6:1-9
According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance the word sons used in Genesis 6 verse 2 and 4 comes from the Hebrew word which means a builder of the family name used in its widest sense including literal and figurative relationships such as grandson, subject, nation, quality or condition, etc.)

It was shortly after this that mankind turned so evil that God destroyed them all except for Noah and his family who still allowed the Spirit of God to lead them.

If it were true that the sons of God mentioned in Genesis 6:2 and 4 were in fact literal sons of God (Divine Beings) sent to earth to take wives of earthly women, then we have to assume that God sent his own sons to earth to be destroyed in the flood.

According to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance the word mighty used in verse 4 comes from the Hebrew word which means warrior, tyrant, champian, chief, mighty man, mighty one, strong man, valiant man. The good men who were led by God Married the women of the evil Cain and their children became mighty champians who turned into evil tyrants because they allowed their wives to corrupt them just like Eve corrupted Adam.

The Lord then destroyed them all in the Flood except for Noah and his family who still followed God.
