My name is Kat Charette. Revere Shelties is a small hobby/show kennel located in central Connecticut. Quite a few years ago, Revere began when my husband and I purchased a beautiful Ch. Halstor's Peter Pumpkin grandson. Unfortunately, he was not destined for the show ring, so we ventured into obedience. As sometimes happens, family and career issues put off my dream of showing in the conformation ring until 1996 when I was lucky enough to purchase a beautiful sable bitch puppy. At 10 years young, she is still putting pups and others in their place.
With the help of people I consider my friends and Mentors -- Gabby Smith, Michelle Pitts, Charlene (Cissy) Jones, Sheila Monks, Linda Wilson, Barbara Kenealy, and my dear friend, Julie Blasi, plus so many more that it would take a whole page to mention, Revere is proud to be hitting the show ring again with our two new boys, Rockwood I Am Family and Shield Crest Ropin The Wind.
My goal is to produce a structurally sound dog, free of genetic problems, with temperaments families can live with. All breeding dogs have had all their testing complete, and are only bred to equally-tested, sound bitches. Revere Shelties abides by the standards and ethics put forth by the American Shetland Sheepdog Association and are dually registered with both the American Kennel Club and United Kennel Club.
