Throughout my 20 years of technical writing and editing, I documented a wide variety of products. Projects included documenting software applications and computer-related peripheral devices. I developed an in-depth knowledge of networking technology and concepts and am familiar with a number of computer operating systems. I wrote, revised, and edited printed manuals, manuals for distribution on corporate websites, and online help. Topics included the installation, set-up, and operation of both hardware and software.
I am proficient in using Adobe FrameMaker®, Microsoft® Word, and bitmap editors, and have worked with both HTML and XML in online help systems. Although I have revised vector graphics in CorelDraw®, I do not claim to be a skilled graphic artist, capable of creating complex graphics. I have taken several programming courses and am familiar with programming concepts and practices, but do not consider myself qualified to write or revise programming documentation.
