Richard
Schultz is the founder and owner of Schultz Financial Management. He
is a well-known financial educator in Orange County, California and speaks
frequently on retirement planning and investment management. He advocates
a comprehensive approach to financial planning that integrates cash flow,
tax, insurance, investments, and estate planning within the framework of a
prudently designed financial plan.
Richard has been helping families
plan for their future and invest wisely since 1991. He has advised
retirees and pre-retirees, including key executives of Fortune 500
companies such as Boeing, Ford, Rockwell, Northrop, Sun Microsystems,
Kaiser, and
Union Bank. He has helped many small business owners reduce their
income tax burden by establishing tax advantaged retirement plans.
Richard is a graduate of Moorhead
State University, Minnesota (1981, BS Computer Science) and the College for Financial Planning
(1992, CFP Educational Program).
Although Richard does
not sell insurance, he is licensed by the California Department of
Insurance and provides fee-only advice with respect to life,
disability, and long term care insurance. Prior to becoming a financial planner in 1991,
Richard worked as a
software engineer in Orange County, CA for 10 years.
Richard is a Certified Financial
Planner™, and a member of the National
Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a prestigious group of
true Fee-Only financial advisors that have met rigorous competency
standards in comprehensive financial planning.
Richard and his wife Cecilia
have 2 daughters and make their home in Cowan Heights, CA.
