36. ACHILLES DEATHERAGE3 (Achilles2, William1) was a son Achilles and Nancy Ann (Lewis) Deatherage. He died in North Carolina in 1836 or 1837 [County Record].
He married Hannah Sparger in the first decade of the nineteenth century. Hannah, daughterof John W. and Christina (Frey) Sparger, was born about the year 1785 [Wheeler]. She died about the year 1827 [Wheeler].
Family tradition states Achilles moved with his parents to Kentucky. He then moved back to North Carolina and married his childhood sweetheart. Sources

37. LUCINDA DEATHERAGE BURGIN3 (Achilles2, William 1), daughter of Achilles and Nancy Ann (Lewis) Deatherage, was born c1770 [Wheeler].
She died about the year 1841 [Probate Records]. Lucinda was buried on her farm (the Elias Burgin farm) in Whitehall, Madison Co., Kentucky.
Lucinda married Thomas Burgin, son of Dennis, on 13 May 1789 in Madison Co., Kentucky [County Record]. Thomas was born in Virginia. He died about the year 1831 [Probate Records]. Thomas was buried on his farm (the Elias Burgin farm) in Whitehall, Madison Co., Kentucky.
Thomas received a commission as a Lieutenant in the 7th Regiment Madison County in 1798. No other record of any other military service has been found, though he was called Major Burgin. He was a farmer. He wrote his will on 3 Jan 1829 and it was admitted for probate on 3 Oct 1831. In an extract of his will I have, he mentioned his wife Lucy, his daughters Elizabeth and Cynthia, his sons Allen and John, and his other children but not by name.
Lucinda wrote her will on 19 Nov 1838 and it was admitted for probate on 4 Oct 1841. In her will she mentions her brother William Deatherage's estate, her daughters Elizabeth and Cynthia, her son John, and her other children but not by name. Sources

He married Jane Cornelison?. Jane was born about 1794 at Kentucky [Fed Cen]. She died before 20 Feb 1864 at Boone Co., Missouri [Probate Record].
William's estate records found in Madison Co., Kentucky, state he departed this life intestate (without a will) leaving neither father, mother, nor children living. He left a widow Jane. His heirs were his brothers, sisters, and nephews and nieces of a deceased brother and sister.
Wesley Parrish was appointed the guardian for Narcissus Deatherage, daughter of Jane Deatherage, on 3 Feb 1840 [Madison Co., Kentucky, Court Order Book H, p. 31]. Jane was still living in Madison County in 1844 when she purchased land. By 1850 Jane was living in Franklin Co., Kentucky. In 1854 she sold land in Franklin Co., Kentucky. On 5 Apr 1857 she bought land in Cooper (Boone?) Co., Missouri, and by 1860 she was living in Boone Co., Missouri. She died intestate in Boone County. Narcissus is listed as her only heir. Sources

George married Barbara Colley on 20 Apr 1804 in Madison Co., Kentucky.
George and Barbara moved to Howard Co., Missouri, in 1812. In 1830 a George Deatherage was living in Madison Co., Kentucky. He listed his age as 50-60, so he was born between 1770 and 1780.
In the Madison County, Kentucky, Court Order Book H, page 273, Mary Powell was granted letters of administration for the estate of George Deatherage, deceased, on 6 Feb 1843. Sources

Amos married Elizabeth Howard on 19 Mar 1810 in Madison Co., Kentucky [County Record, Mar 1810] . Elizabeth, daughter of Benjamin and Rebecca (Turner) Howard, was born on 29 Mar 1790 [Benjamin Howard Bible]. She died on 24 Nov 1858 in Howard Co., Missouri [County History].
Amos may have been the "Amos Deathridge" who was a private in Captain James Dyametto's company of infantry of the Kentucky Militia, Detached, 12 Mar-12 Sep 1813. Amos and Betsey moved to Howard Co., Missouri, in 1817. In 1820 they moved to section 5 where they lived until 1824. They then settled on the farm known as the Elkin Place in section 7. In 1836 they settled on the farm on which they lived until their deaths.
Amos wrote his will on 7 Sep 1839. In it he mentions his wife Betsey, his children (but not by name), and his legacy from the estate of William Deatherage in Kentucky. The will was witnessed by James Ferguson and John Snell [Howard Co., MO, Willbook 3, p. 1]. Sources
