Isaac married Agnes Stivers on 4 May 1815 [Bond: County Record] in Fayette Co., Kentucky. She was born on 16 Mar 1798 [Tombstone]. She died on 7 Aug 1851 [Tombstone] in Jefferson Co., Kentucky.

Isaac may have been the "Isaac Detheridge" who was a private in Captain Robert A. Sturges' Company Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia from 13 Sep-30 Oct 1812. He was living in Franklin Co., Kentucky, by 1820. Isaac was listed as a "toll gate keeper" in the 1850 Jefferson County federal census. Sources

She died on 27 Dec 1886 in Rio, Knox Co., Illinois, [Wheeler] and is buried at the Timber-Deatherage-McMurtry Cemetery. Susannah married second the Reverend Joseph Jones on 1 Oct 1847 at Knox Co., Illinois [County Record]. Alfred married Martha Keathly. She died about the year 1843 [Deatherage @13, 15, 16].

Alfred married Amanda Boyd, daughter of the Reverend John Boyd, about 1845 [Deatherage @intro] in Missouri. Amanda was born about the year 1826 in Tennessee [Fed Cen 1850]. She was living in 1860.

Alfred married next Mary (McHenry) Keeling in Missouri. Mary, daughter of Robert and Martha (Lane) McHenry, was born 12 Jan 1824 at Bradley Co., Tennessee. She was a widow, who had been married to Levi Keeling. They were apparently living in Tennessee in 1850 and had moved to Missouri by 1860. Levi was killed by soldiers on his farm in Shannon Co., Missouri, during the Civil War. Mary died 12 Nov 1878 at Shannon Co., Missouri.

Alfred and his younger brother Milton moved from Kentucky to Morgan Co., Illinois, in 1826. They both served in Captain William Weatherford's Company during the Black Hawk War. Alfred was the 1st Sergeant of that company. He and his wife Martha sold the 80 acres they owned in Morgan County in 1839 and moved to Missouri. Alfred was a representative from Shannon County in the Missouri legislature. He also served as the County Treasurer for that county. Sources

Lewis married Cynthia P. Stevenson on 18 Aug 1848 at Logan Co., Kentucky [County Record]. She died on 26 Jul 1849 [Bible].

Lewis married Sarah (Deatherage) Reese on 10 Mar 1858 [County Record] in Morgan Co., Illinois. Sarah, daughter of Stephen P. and Martha (Deatherage) Deatherage, was born 4 Aug 1836 [Obituary] in Morgan County. She died on 22 Dec 1912 [Obituary] at Omaha, Nebraska. She is buried in East Cemetery, Waverly, Morgan County. Her first husband was Thomas Reese, whom she married in 1852 [Sarah's Obituary]. Thomas died in 1855 [Sarah's Obituary]. Lewis was her second husband. She married third Gilman Ford on 20 Aug 1873 [Sarah's Obituary]. They had three children. Gilman died on 1 Apr 1893 [Sarah's Obituary]. Sarah was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church. In 1906 she moved to Beatrice, Nebraska. She lived in Omaha, her last two years.

Lewis and family were living in Simpson Co., Kentucky, in 1850 where he was a farmer. By 1860 they had moved to Morgan Co., Illinois. Sources

68. JOHN T. DEATHERAGE4 (Matthew3, John2, William1), son of Matthew and Sarah Susannah (Taylor) Deatherage, was born about the year 1804 in Virginia [Fed Cen 1850]. He was still living in 1870, but was not listed in the 1880 federal census.

John married Harriett A. -. She was born about the year 1815 in Tennessee [Fed Cen 1850]. She was still living in 1880.

It appears John was living in Indiana in 1835 when Louisa, his daughter?, was born. He apparently moved back to Virginia and lived in Wythe Co., Virginia, in 1836 and 1837 [Taxlists]. He wrote a letter from Wythe County in 1836 to his brother-in-law and sister Achilles and Susanna Deatherage telling Susannah about the death of their brother Robert [Wheeler]. In 1840 John appears to be living in Knox Co., Tennessee. By 1850 he was living in Grainger Co., Tennessee, where he gave his occupation as farmer. In 1860 he was living at or near Knoxville, Tennessee, where he was listed as an Omnibus driver. In 1866 John's daughter Caroline was married in Sullivan Co., Tennessee, where he is listed in the 1870 federal census. He gave his occupation as farm laborer in that census. Sources

According to census records William and his family lived in Virginia from 1830-1835 [Hester Deatherage below was born in Smyth Co., Virginia, Fed Cen 1860]. By 1837 William had moved to Tennessee where he was living as late as 1842. By 1844 William had moved to Georgia. In 1850 he was living in Stokes Co., North Carolina. By 1860 he had moved to Patrick Co., Virginia, where he was still living in 1870. According to census records William was a farmer. Sources
