The Deatherage Family: The First Four Generations in America

This book is copyright 1984 and 1992, by Richard W. Tobin II, all rights reserved, except persons interested in genealogy may use this book for their own personal, non-commercial use in advancing their knowledge of their family. I only request if portions are used the author be cited.

I have made my book The Deatherage Family: The First Four Generations in America available online. I have reformatted and linked all of my files, except the indices. I have also linked to other places on the web. If members.cox.net/rictobin/ or freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tobin/deathera/ are not in the address the site is not maintained by me. Please let me know if any links don't work properly. This is a work in progress. I update my book as people send me verified information.

There are several broken links throughout these records. If you run into one let me know and I will fix it as soon as possible. I have migrated some of the records to other areas on the web. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Several lost daughters of the Kesler family have been found. Elizabeth Kesler, the only child of Samuel and Mary (Myers) Kesler, moved to the Wyandot Co., Ohio , area in the 1830s with her mother and step-father where she married Emanuel Nigh and raised a family.

Magdalena Kesler, daughter of David and Susannah (Nigh) Kesler, moved to Noble Co., Indiana, in the 1840s with her husband David Wurtsbaugh and their family.
