In the middle is the Fuji Frontier print on Crystal Archive paper. Compare to the 1270 print. These three prints are extremely close, I think. The reds are much less orange, and the purples are truly purple. The Frontier print is a bit darker than the inkjet prints, but it could easily be printed lighter. In fact, I think Ritz printed it too dark, and prefer the inkjet output in that respect.
So what made Inkjet these wonderful prints? On what papers? Believe it or not, these prints come from an Epson 2000P! The top one on Red River Ultra Pro Gloss, the bottom on Epson PGPP.
Look here for another comparison.
To my eye, These prints actually look even more like the Fuji than they do to the scanner. The tint in the gray scale of the Epson prints really doesn't show up in normal room light.
So who would have thought it. The 2000P, much maligned for its "limited" color gamut, may well be more realistic than the more highly saturated 1270. At least on PGPP.
