I've Got the Epson Blues...



These images above are microscope images taken by Roger Smith. In Roger's words:

Here's what I see through a microscope (dark-stored Vs light-stored, about 150x). This is from a couple of steps of a 21-step gray scale. It seems to me that most of the cyan has disappeared from the light side.


The images below are also courtesy of Roger. They show part of a gray scale printed with black ink only. As hard as it is to believe, Epson has apparently replaced its former long lived black ink with one that turns brown.
