WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Collectively, we are the Forest Hills church of Christ. Our desire is to be true worshipers, worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

Individually, we are people with many differences. We are young, middle aged and elderly persons. We are students, professional men and women, businessmen, businesswomen, housewives, city employees, self-employed individuals and retirees. We are diverse in our personality types and in our outside interests. We also have various levels of formal education and different religious backgrounds.

But we also have many things in common. We have a common faith (2 Peter 1:1), common blessings (Ephesians 1:3-14), a common hope (1 Peter 1:3-4), a common Benefactor (1 John 3:1), a common salvation (Jude 3), a common Savior (Ephesians 5:23), and a common love for the Lord (1 Peter 1:8). We are striving to manifest those characteristics known as beatitudes, so that we may receive the blessings associated with them (Matthew 5:1-12). We are seeking to add to faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness and to brotherly kindness love, so that we might enter into the eternal kingdom (2 Peter 1:5-11). We are endeavoring to allow the Holy Spirit to produce in us the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:19-23).

We are people who want to go to heaven. We want to help one another and others to go to heaven. In fact, we believe this to be the primary purpose of a local church. And our website is dedicated to that end.

We are indebted to our Webmaster, Ronnie Nichols, for the website’s appearance. He is doing a great job. The articles and outlines are mine, with few exceptions. While I owe too much to too many to give full credit to everyone, I have given credit to single sources, when I could remember them. Feel free to use what you find here for Bible classes, sermons, self-study and/or one-on-one studies with others.

If you are living or visiting in the Macon area, we would be glad for you to visit with us. While the sermons are mainly for the members, visitors will also benefit from them. We would be glad to study the Bible with you personally and correspondence courses are available.

Thank you for visiting the website. Please come back often. If you have any questions about the Bible or our website, just email us; we will get back to you promptly.
