During "Library" he sugested that you upgrade your armor from a level 2 to a level 12; he seems to know your armor very well. And why, in the beginning of "Two Betrayels", does GS sound so suprised that Master Chief doesn't know that HALO is designed to wipe out all sitient life. This sugest that GS was under the impression that MC was a represenative of the forerunner. A "reclaimer" sent here to reclaim control of the ring and restore it to order. Right before the sentinals start to attack you, GS asks you why would you try to undo what you've already done...meaning that the forerunner have used HALO in the past, an action that probobly wiped them out when the humans were still mokeys(for those of you that believe in evolution of course) He also says, "Last time, you asked me, if it was my choice, would I do it? Having considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed."
Why does GS think that you are a "reclaimer" and not part of the Covenant or any of the other humans on the ring, and why does he act like he's talked to before. Its because of your armor. Parts of the armor were stolen from the Covenenant technology, which were derived from forerunner technology. It is obvious that GS has seen as MJOLNIR suit before. Some point in the game, GS makes a comment about a "pet super-soldier"! But someone attacked that sugestion saying that in the library, GS tells you "I would conjecture that the other species currently on the instillation is responsible for releasing the Flood. They seem most persistent in their attempts to access restricted areas." It is assumed from this that GS knows that you are human, or thinks that the other humans on halo are forerunner. Players assume that the covenant released the flood, but it is, in fact, the humans that released the flood. How would humans be able to get into restricted areas. During the game, Cortana learns that the forerunner are an ancient race, who were believed to be wiped out. We realize that HALO's atomoshpere, weather, and georgorphy are very Earth-like. Maybe...just maybe...provided that the clues are correct, the humans are the ancient race known as the forerunner!
