Walking
Walking
is an excellent exercise when the person’s physical structure is within
the range of normal. Walking is
a very complex task consisting of many sub-tasks.
The
toe hinge should be horizontal (facing directly forward in walking); the
ankle hinge functioning horizontally with no interference to the knee movement;
the knee hinge horizontal with the movement directly forward and back;
it is hard to describe the combination of movements at the hip and lower
back. It is this latter set of movements that I
would like to explore in this following sequence of activities:
