Dee likes to read mostly and never really got interested in the hobbies that I have.  I have four main hobbies but only two are what I would call active now and they are learning to play the guitar and computers.   I've been taking guitar lessons now for almost a year and continue to learn everyday when I practice.  Besides our Family website I am also webmaster for our churches' website, St. Benedict the Moor Catholic Church and one of the organizations in the church, the Knights and Ladies of Peter Claver.  You can also find links on my Links Page to these sites.

My other two hobbies are photography and Ham radio.  A friend of mine while stationed in Japan by the name of Jim got me into photography and darkroom, black and white film processing.  I also got him interested in Ham Radio and he is a ham now.  I still have all my darkroom equipment and maybe one day after I retire I will pull it out and set it up again.  A hobby I've always enjoyed is Ham Radio.  I've been a licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1967 and hold an Advanced Class license.  I've talked with people all over the world and learned so much about different countries and cultures.  Another thing I enjoyed doing as a ham was running phone patches, there is so much satisfaction from doing this.  I'm in the process of getting back into ham radio and pulling out my radio equipment and getting them going on the air once again.  My current call sign is KAØRG but I've also worked as G5AMG from England and KA2RG from Japan.  I've also had the opportunity to meet some of the nicest people in the world and that is the local hams at places I've been stationed while in the Air Force.  If you want a hobby that is fulfilling in so many ways, think about becoming a Amateur Radio Operator.  Links to some of the local Amateur Radio Clubs can be found on my Links page.
