A TALE FROM CHELM

The town of Chelm was in Poland. It was full of special people who do and think in a special way. They were clueless.

Dovid was the wisest man in the town. He wanted to talk to his cousin Moti who lived 70 towns away. On Monday, he walked up a tiny hill and called "Moti". He sat down on the ground and waited for an answer. When it was almost Shabbat, he went home. He said "Moti won't call on Shabbat".

COUNTING HIGH IN CHELM

There was a counting contest among the scholars of Chelm. The first scholar counted to ten. The Rabbi told the second scholar to count higher. So he climbed on the roof and started to count.
