This page isn't going to be fancy -- no colorful backgrounds, no animated graphics, no self-indulgent autobiography or lists of my favorite books or links to my favorite web sites -- just a page I hope will be helpful for beginning and accomplished guitar players alike. What it is, basically, is a collection of transcriptions I've worked out for songs by Richard Shindell, Cry Cry Cry and Lori McKenna, as well as links to the "official" Dar Williams transcription site (to which I've contributed songs) and Patty Griffin's chord site.

Oh, by the way, in response to several requests, I'm working to make this page a little more friendly -- that is, to have each song (or at least each artist) on a separate linkable page, so you don't have to scroll down for three weeks to get to a certain song. My original thought was that the current format would be easier, and that once you were here, you were here, and wouldn't need to bounce from page to page, but hey, this page is for you, so I'll do what I can to make it better. Deal? However, I'm sort of at the mercy of AOL's bizarre Personal Publisher, um, "software," so it may take a little time.

Please note, these transcriptions have neither been seen nor blessed by the songwriters themselves (although I'm happy to say that the keeper of both Richard's and Lori's homepages has been kind and trusting enough to link directly here), and the only vouching I can do for their accuracy is to tell you that I've tried hard to get them right. I've got this little internal policy that I won't post any songs unless they're at least 90% accurate, so let that be your guide.
