"About Me:" Rodney Price (a.k.a. the "Lightning Rod")

I was born in Topeka, KS and grew up in the Harveyville area. I attended KU and earned a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Science.  I was team director (two semesters) of the chase team before graduation in December 1992. 

My first TV weather position was at KTKA-TV Topeka, KS. (1994-1997) then KSNW-TV in Wichita (1997-2004). From 2005 through late 2006, I split my time between KWCH-TV here in Wichita and at WeatherData Inc. I’m now full-time at KWCH as the Weekend Morning Meteorologist and Storm Coordinator.

I'm happily married with a daughter. We also own one crazy dog.

In my spare time, I'm a sports nut. I love all KU sports, especially basketball. I'm a NASCAR fan too...go Junior! I like to listen to loud, hard rock music (Van Halen, Metallica, Alter Bridge, etc), collect Coca-Cola memorabilia and storm chase when I can. I'm also an amateur radio operator, call sign N0SET.
