SCHEDULE

Regular singings of the Richmond Sacred Harp Singers are
held from 2 to 5 PM on the third Saturday of each month except November.
The James
River Sacred Harp Convention is held the second Saturday and following
Sunday in November.

SINGINGS 2008

Projected singing dates for the Richmond
Sacred Harp Singers for the year 2008 are as follows: January 19, February
16, March 15, April 19, May 17, September 20,
October 18, November 15 (James River
Convention), and December 20.
We ask that people bring light snacks for the break.
Please check here for singing locations as they
sometimes change from month to month.

JANUARY 19th SINGING
|
Our January singing will be held
on the 19th from 2-5 PM at the home of Pat Temple in Ashland.
Directions:
From Richmond take Rt. 1 or I-95 North to Route 54 West (92B Ashland exit). When
the road forks after the railroad tracks, bear right. Turn right on Chapman
St. Pat's house is on the right (across from an open field) at 705
Chapman St.

FEBRUARY 16th SINGING
|
Our February
singing will again be held at Meadow Farm/Crump Park Visitor Center
in Glen Allen. The singing will be from 2 to 4 PM on February 16th.
Directions:
Crump Park is located at 3400 Mountain Rd. in Glen Allen. Take I-295 W.
Take exit 45B at Woodman Rd. S. Turn right onto Mountain Rd. at the
traffic first light. Crump Park is on the right 2-3 miles down Mountain
Rd. Follow the park road towards the back of the park and park in the
Visitor Center parking lot. This is located just before a small bridge
which leads to the Visitor Center. Handicapped parking is located at the
Visitor Center.

| MAY 3, 2008 SINGING |
On Sunday, May 3, we will be
doing a demonstration singing in Spotsylvania County as a part of the 145th
Chancellorsville Reenactment. Information about the event and the location
and directions are at this
link. We will be
singing from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Since parking might be
a problem, singers will meet at 12:15 PM in the Ukrops parking lot in
Ashland and carpool from there. Be sure to bring your Sacred Harp
which will be our entry ticket for the event.

MAY 17, 2008 SINGING
|
Our May singing will be held at
Historic St. Johns Church.
The time for the singing is 2-5 PM. St. Johns Church
2401 E Broad St.
Richmond VA 23223
DIRECTIONS: From Richmond take I-95 S and exit at 74B
for Franklin St. Turn right at E Franklin St. Turn right at N 14th St.
Turn right at E Broad St. The church is at the corner of E Broad St. and
24th St.

Charlottesville Sacred Harp Singers
meet the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the
Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church and the fourth Wednesday evening of each
month from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at the Quaker Meeting House. For information or

Northern Shenandoah Sacred Harp
singings take place on Saturdays (usually, but not always, the first
Saturday of each month) in Berryville VA. For information or directions,

Folkfore Society of Greater Washington (FSGW) singings
are held the fourth Sunday of each month, from 3:30 to 6:30 PM with a
