Toyota Landcruiser Bug-Catcher Weather-stripping for 1/4 Vent Window
As you may know the infamous "bug catcher" style wing window weather stripping is no longer made. I really did not like the alternatives so I started looking into getting some made. After checking around with a few manufactures I finally located one that would do this without a real large order. Most of the places that I talked to required a 10,000 ft order minimum or more. They place that I'm dealing with is in Australia so the prices are better was well and there minimum is 300 meters.
In the course of trying to keep the cost down, I have decided to go with a 4 piece extrusion vice the 1 piece molded. The fit will be identical to the original, just not a molded one piece unit. Yes, this means that you will need to cut, fit and use some good weather-stripping adhesive on the corners. I'm currently taking orders for these.
I have received the the 'Final" product from the manufacture so these are available for immediate shipping. If you are interested in these, please send payment through PayPal (Much faster and secure. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can set one up free of charge for personal use at http://www.paypal.com) or to my mailing address. The cost for these is $100.00 per set, which is enough material to do both wing windows. Shipping is included in the cost as well (US and Canada only).
Additionally you can check out the following documents for comparison to what you have. Dimensions are included in the Adobe pdf documents.
