Over-the-Hill asel around 800 hour used to be private pilot. Out of physical, money, and deterination as far as personal flying is concerned at this point in my life. Spent many happy hours winging around mid America and a special few aerobatic hours too. I am a luck man to have had the opportunities to look down on mere mortals as much as I did the last 30 years of the second Millenium!
I trained with Bob, and now I am training students of my own. My days are spent helping train ATC students at the FAA. Nights find me instructing private/instrument ground school at OKC Metrotech or flight students. Weekends will find me in the air with students, flight reviews or just with friends. Aviation has become my midlife change career that I will never retire from. I owe a lot to Bob for his training and encouragement. I got my private pilot certificate under Bob and still fly his planes.
I have been a student of Bob's for sometime now and I can tell you he is a very patient instructor. Lets you learn at your own pace and your own budget. His aircraft are maintained to a high standard and he is very proud of them. This pride carries over naturally to you in the cockpit as you fly his planes and it makes you feel like part owner. He is always available for any questions and can get you in the air with just a phone call. Becoming a pilot has been a dream of mine since I was very young. I joined the Army in hope of flying helicopters, but Bob has giving me the opportunity to fly when I want to, not because I have to, and I am enjoying every hour of it.
Light Sport Aircraft license with eventual progression to private pilot.
