will no doubt play in this. So unless you want to ruin it for
yourself do not read.
Last week I mentioned in another thread how I thought Gehenna would
happen. In that post I also said I have been working on my Gehenna
Chronicle and MrGonev5 said he would be interested in seeing it. Well
after making it what I believe to be readable here it is.
Important note, I am a HUGE fan of sticking to white wolf material,
something which will no doubt confuse several forumites. Of course
white wolf material I stick it is everything ever printed for the
game. Not novels or those neat little books like BoN, EC, RotDM. My
Gehenna Chronicle breaks away from that considerably as you will
notice.
As with every chroncile I put together a chapter list is created and
handed out to each player for their character dosiers(sp). Both the
name of the Story and Chapters. The first line is the name of the
chronicle. Second is what year the Stories happen during. This is
centered so it will not appear as it normally does.

• 1st week of July 1999 - “Wormwood” Wormwood appears in the
sky, all supernaturals can see it but those with Auspex see it as
bright as Venus.
[Group experiences the Herald of Gehenna throughout the world in
their cities]
Story 1: Week of Nightmares
• 2nd week of July 1999 -“Monday: Tremors, Tuesday: History,
Wednesday: Visions, Thursday: Time’s Up, Friday: Repercussion,
Saturday: Infighting, Sunday: One Less Clan” Zapathasura stirs and
battles three Bodhissatva’s wed night and dies early Thurs morning,
Clan Ravnos begin to kill each other on Thursday that lasts until
Sunday.
[Group experiences the Week of Nightmares throughout the world in
their cities]
Story 2: Lair of the Hidden
• March 2003 - “Lair of the Hidden parts 1-6, Redemption or
Damnation” Wormwood is directly overhead in Hunedoara and is brighter
then usual, humans in the village talk openly about the Red Star.
[Group finds their way to Hunedoara and confronts the Inconnu about
their daemon pact]
Story 3: The Red Sign Story
• August 21, 22, 23 and 24 2003 - “Three nights to avoid the
inevitable, Strange Bedfellows, Purpose of their Gathering, Can this
also happen to us?”
[Group remembers their encounter with the Red Sign Conspiracy and the
Redeemed]

• Jan 14th 2004 - “Birthmark” females are no longer being born,
takes about a week for news agencies to mention it regularly, news
papers pick it up in the same week, a month later males are still
being born and no female in sight and the news continues to cover the
event constantly. Cesar Holfield is a 15th gen Caitiff with a
crescent moon birthmark he is looking to find the last daughter of
eve given birth from Afifa, he feels her existence and knows that he
will find her in Cairo. The Withering goes into effect.
The last daughter of Eve informs the group that the sin eater holding
the blue liquid will offer a way to salvation]
(all changes to the vampires bodies done through Vicissitude
disappear, Bixintxo loses 2 dots from Appearance because he
augmented it through Vicissitude, Abdiel’s skin is burnt obsidian
black and scarred again because he augmented it through
Vicissitude.)

• Feb 15th 2004 - Antediluvians around the world begin to wake
up and nightmares flood through every Kindred on the planet. Similar
to the Week of Nightmares but no Antediluvians die. **Prologue: the
beginning of the end**
• third week of Feb 2004 - “Week of Revelations”: the mass of
Vicissitude under New York city comes out of the ground and is
assaulted by several Kindred, news media has captured the event and
putting on TV 24hrs a day the Masquerade is torn to ribbons **Act
one: a removal of masks; I Of fates signed, II Briefing, III
Battlefield: Manhattan, IV Live from the scene, V Consequences, VI
All good things, VII Must come to an end**
[Group is in New York then fights Vicissitude and possibly joins the
Nephtali]
• first week of Mar 2004 - “Seeking Answers” **Act two: seeking
answers; I The convention of fire, II Off to see the father, III Fire
on the streets of Berlin, IV The underground commune, V Scandinavian
Gothic, VI An audience with Caine
[Group is looking for answers about the coming Gehenna]
• third week of Mar 2004 - “The Red Sign Redux” **Etrius
approaches the Nephtali asking for their assistance. There is
something wrong with Clan Tremere. When Etrius (with
Tremere/Goratrix) brings them to Ceoris they notice a number of
Tremere who are misshapened. Tzimisce shows up, go through the battle
sequence with Tremere/Goratrix without Kupala. After Tremere
mercilessly slaughters and Diablerizes the Eldest he threatens the
group and his vampiric blood falters. He is defenseless and a perfect
Diablerie target. No soul shard. Tzimisce recreates himself inside
the character that takes the blood of Tremere, who will give birth to
him again.
[Group helps Clan Tremere and witnesses the battle between Tremere
and Tzimisce]
• last week of Mar 2004 - Clan Tremere disappears using a mass
ritual of the Red Sign to make the entire clan mortals again.
[Group is sent from their sect to inquire why Clan Tremere has not
been seen in awhile.]
• first week of Apr 2004 - “Ashes to Ashes” **Act four: ashes
to ashes; The characters goto Kaymakli with Myca Vykos and they
notice that the script used to seal the city shut is cut out of the
rock and it appears as if a ritual was done outside the entrance.
When they enter they find Augustus Giovanni looking for something and
it appears he has feed on decussated corpses of what someone can only
assume to be Cappadocians. There is another battle and Augustus can
be Diablerized**
[Group with Myca goes to Kaymakli and battles with Augustus]
• third week of Apr 2004 - “...Dust to Dust” The second city is
found **Act five: ...dust to dust; the characters see the rise of the
second city and find the statues of the Antediluvians. The Cainite
vial is there but it is not used for Saulot, it is used by one of the
characters that wants to repent for the crimes of the blood of Caine.
When the group is searching the second floor of the temple they see
some Followers of Set come in and enact Serpent’s Ascension.**
[Group goes to Egypt to find the Second City and finds the blue vial
that the Last Daughter of Eve told/will tell them about as a means of
salvation for all Vampires]
• first week of May 2004 -“Retribution and Hunted” all humans
develop the perception to see supernatural creatures for what they
really are.
[Group’s unlife is uneasy as they are being watched and sought out by
humans]
• second week of May 2004 - groups of humans around the world
begin to hunt supernatural creatures like game. supernatural
creatures which considered themselves to be the apex of the food
chain are being challenged by man with weapons which are specifically
developed to destroy them. man is attempting to reassert his
dominance on earth, Hunters will assist these groups in destroying
these newly discovered predators.
[Group’s unlife becomes perilous as they are hunted by humans]
• last week of Jun 2004 - TV, radio and news papers are all a
buzz about trophies taken from killing supernatural creatures which
are being sold on E-Bay, silver becomes a hot commodity and the price
triples by the third week of July with no indication of dropping.
• first week of Jul 2004 “Judgement and Quarantined” - Vampires
gather in the valley of Eden, at the north west corner of the Tigris
and Euphrates river they have gathered together with several
Antediluvians. These Antediluvians judge their worthy childer, while
devouring the unworthy, and talk amongst themselves on how to react
to the new events in the world and how to take back what has always
been theirs. A ritual is performed in Cairo killing all the clanless
that were residing on the island haven. **Act six (seven judgement):
an epoch ends; vampires feel a pull to the Valley of Eden and meet
several Antediluvians, Haqim, Ennoia, Lasombra, Malkav, Absimiliard,
Ishtar and Set.
[Group either goes to/or summoned to the Valley of Eden where they
have taken haven from the humans attacks and are being judged for
usefulness]

believe vampires cannot be held accountable for any actions they have
done. people around the world gather to support the vampires in the
Valley of Eden. About 500,000 people have placed themselves as body
shields for these vampires and willing give their blood to the
vampires so they can survive. Gothic culture is practically not
existent in any part of the world they have moved to the valley
looking to be a ghoul or Embraced, they beg to become vampires,
offering to give anything, they will murder to be a vampire. Cults
from around the world arrive in droves believing many things, the
Antediluvians are aliens from another world come back to take them
away, that vampires are the true leaders of the world, groups arrive
to have Vampires help them put whatever demographic they do not like
under their command. Several countries of the middle east have either
killed, captured or turned people away when they cross their borders
to help the vampires in the Valley of Eden. That still does not stop
almost a thousand people arriving every week to the valley to help
the “persecuted” vampires
• Aug 3rd 2004 - The Red Star grows brighter in the night sky
it is almost the size of a quarter. Silver is close to the price of
gold because of demand, people are actually going to rivers in hopes
of a “Silver Rush” several everyday items are being stripped of their
silver and melted into bullets and other types of weapons to fight
supernatural creatures.
• first week of Sept 2004 - several armed forces have
quarantine the valley of eden attempting to keep the vampires there
and humans out. The population of the humans in the valley of eden is
over 500,000 people. The humans have made small shelters for
themselves including the city already there. Several human leaders
have set up breeding camps, for the sole purpose to create humans to
feed the vampires.
• Sept 10th 2004 - the last reputed werecreature is killed in
the Amazon and E-Bay auctions are at an all time high. The price of
silver stalls for the first time in 4 months because of lack of
demand.
• Sept 18th 2004 - “Forgiveness and Retaliation” nations around
the world have come together for a singular cause, to make mankind
free of the evils of the world; Iraq, Iran, Syria, Israel, Palastine,
North Korea, Australia and Group of 8: Canada, France, Germany,
Italy, Japan, Russia, Britain and the US work together to decree
several nuclear strikes allowed to be aimed at the gathering of
vampires and humans in the valley of eden. When the airstrikes are
executed the planes and missiles disappear from the sky as a strange
darkness starting from northern Finland encompasses the globe making
all the stars disappear except the Red Star which grows to the size
of a baseball. The Vampires, lords of the night have the advantage
again and the Blood G-ds begin to rule openly as they move into many
of the first world countries with plans to take over control.
**Effects of the Veil of Darkness on page 161-162 go into effect for
3 months**

their own corner]

(There is no penalty for when the sun should be up during the Veil of
Darkness)
• Sept 18th-Nov 19th 2004 - “One World Order: Gehenna” for
three months the sky is blackened with no sunlight (unless the
characters stop Louhi’s ritual by killing her). Nov 19th 2004 the
mysterious darkness that covered the sky is gone and the battle for
supremacy of the planet has been won. G8 is now under control of
vampires as the Antediluvians have taken command of their
governments. The most powerful vampires and the kine population has
been cowed by the Antediluvians to be their minions. There are
resistance forces that work to undo vampires control. Rarely in the
first world countries but mostly in third world countries where
communication is not instant humans live free of vampire control.
Vampires are incapacitated and used to continue to fuel the
Antediluvians and other vampires the ancients deem worthy.
[Group has great influence in the world or is targeted by
Antediluvian pawns to join or die]
• Dec 2004 - All countries in western and eastern europe, parts
of asia major, most of the western hemisphere through Vampire control
have become one country with one currency. The name Gehenna, the
currency Phoenix. Immediately the Antediluvians and their minions,
mobilize their armed forces against the nations free of vampire
control.
• Jan 2005 - 85% of the worlds countries have joined Gehenna,
by either GN (Gehenna Nation) coercion or military influence. The
economy is shaky because of the different values throughout the world
but the one world order is in no threat of falling apart purely
because of the control asserted by the Antediluvians. Certain parts
of the world are free from Gehenna and Caine’s Antediluvians rule.
They are ruled by other Antediluvians that have not been known or
rumoured to exist i.e. The Shaper/Sarah, Lucian, Erinye, Mekhet,
Ikopabe, Ilyes, Malakai and Eickos
• mid Jan 2005 - “Wormwood Redux” Wormwood is now visible
during the daytime which makes the blue sky pink and at night the sky
is no longer black but a deep reddish black tint as the Red Stars
rays now fill the sky day and night. At night the Moon is blood red.
Once again vampires Disciplines (see Caine chart) do not work
correctly, rarely ever do they work properly. Disciplines are being
changed by Caine as Kindred foolishly begin attacking him again. It
is easier then ever for a Kindred to determine thickness of blood,
dif 3.

killed every vampire on the planet or made them no longer a threat,
the end of one age is done making way for the beginning of a new age,
per beliefs throughout the world there has been many Deluges, where
the earth has been remade, the world suffers from an environmental
change where the oceans stop rotating and weather goes insane
creating almost every corner of the world unhabitable. Coastal cities
are hit hard by terrible storms and the world enters another ice age.
Vampires all over the world begin to take shelter many are vulnerable
at this time several Antediluvians are Diablerized. The human
population is decimated and continue to die for preparation of the
next eon.
[Group experiences the world going through a change and sooner or
later end up in Torpor or die as other vampires attack them for blood]
• indeterminate future period - the characters wake up to a new
world where the ages of olde were practically wiped off the face of
the earth, the Withering no longer affects them. All powers restored.
As far as the coterie can determine they are the only vampires that
survived. They stumble into a human city... Caine is sitting on a
chair with the name Michala Basalt in a building, the group can feel
his presence almost as if he is the pulse of the city itself. When
the group notices him he says, This is how it happened before. If
they ask what does he mean he will tell them that the creation story
they were told is not entirely true. There was a second generation
but they were not the real second generation. They were the
generation that was destroyed before the fourth Deluge. The third
generation were another group much like yourself that spawned the
most prolific race of cursed beings with world spanning Jyhads of the
last epoch, they were not the first Antediluvians nor will they be
the last. As the story is told I was cursed by the One Above and I
spread the curse to three who then spread the curse to 13. While it
is true that the there were three they did not spread the curse to
the famous 13 Antediluvians of the world before that Deluge. The
three were the only known surviving cursed beings of the prior Deluge
and repopulated the known world with their cursed scions in the
fourth epoch. The 13 you know were a group of cursed beings not
unlike yourselves that survived the fifth Deluge, which changed the
face of the earth like the Deluges before it. And I did sit in the
city Enoch and cast my judgment upon them, like I did judge other
Antediluvians of prior epochs. Others survived hence how the curse
was already present in other parts of the world before the re-
discovery of those forgotten continents. So have your way with this
towne and it’s inhabitants. I have seen six groups of Antediluvians
all fail the test of ennui and boredoml. If the six other epochs of
our cursed kind are any indication as to the future in this new era
after the sixth Deluge, conveniently thought to be the sixth
extinction, you will be no different. Caine leaves. If he is stopped
he says that he has to go, he is plagued with wanderlust, though he
may go underground for shelter from the sun it does not permit him to
sleep and he is charged to walk the land of Nod. He wants to stay but
now that the “new” Antediluvians have entered into this city it is
going to fall to their pettiness and they will break it. Better to
just leave now without having suffer idiotic sibling fighting for the
seventh time and I am sick of casting judgement on them for their
mistakes. Perhaps if they judge themselves they will do something the
other Antediluvians could not. Caine leaves.

new WOD, I'd want to keep going as the 'new' antediluvians.
A thought - do the characters somehow become the 'equivilent' of a
3rd gen or greater now?

Timeline.
The Caine Chart is a series of charts that determines what
Disciplines effects become when used.
When the Caine Chart is in effect and a player rolls a 1 or 2 on a
D10 they roll another D10 1-3 chart 1, 4-6 chart 2, 7-9 chart 3 on a
0 nothing happens. After determining what chart from the D10 another
D10 is rolled to determine which Discipline effect replicates the
Discipline used. As it has been mentioned that Caine can make
Disciplines stop working and change them so ultimately what is
happening is that some vampire in the world is attacking Caine with a
Discipline when the character is using the same Discipline. So Cainie
manipulates the Discipline to make a different effect that would not
effect him. Thus why the characters use of the Discipline will not
work correctly.
When the Withering goes into effect the normal chance of the
Discipline not working in conjuction of the Caine chart will make
using Disciplines a gamble.
In my WoD a vampire can determine another vampires generation by
sniffing them. This is normally Perception dif 6 roll but as the
Withering continues to happen and the Red Star continues to do it's
business the difficulty for vampires to determine the thickness of
blood becomes easier as noted.
I will also be using the Withering chart out of Gehenna so as the
character proceed further into the chronicle those vampires of
thinner blood will be able to rely on their Disciplines more unlike
the characters. The characters at this moment are 6th and 5th gen in
TC. So they will be effected either the third or fourth month of
Gehenna. Which will be awesome because they will have to suffer the
attacks from vampires who's Disciplines have not began to fail.
OH an important note. When I think Gehenna I think of all the
Antediluvians waking up and devouring all their childer. But I wanted
to create something that would be both challenging and something that
the players can walk away from the chronicle with the chance of their
characters surviving so the playes can feel good about it.
Of course when I start my Gehenna Chronicle I will tell the players
that killing their characters will be my second in priority to
telling how Gehenna happens.

not increased to 3rd gen through the course of Gehenna will be
changed to reflect the next 3rd gen. The effect of the Red Star.
Though I have been preparing Antediluvians resting places so that if
the characters wanted to go Antediluvian Hunting that will be a
possibility.
