Eight
decades ago, a young artist by the name of Richard Upton
Pickman shocked the Boston art world with just a few canvases,
then disappeared from history along with the main body of his
work, leaving behind only the brief second-hand account of an
ardent admirer.
Now,
the Pickman Conservative has located and restored a number of
Pickman's early sketches and studies, and is planning to
reintroduce the world to this forgotten American realist.

The
Pickman Conservative would like to announce the publication of
a printed portfolio reproducing in exquisite detail the
most striking examples of R. U. Pickman's surviving works upon
fine heavy-duty stock, suitable for framing. Yes, the Pickman
Conservative sure would like to announce that. Maybe someday it
will. In the meanwhilst, go to

and pick up the next best thing. Or contact the Pickman
Conservative and we'll work something out...
