SD Endurance Run Rules & Qualification:  No littering, no dogs, no bicycle pacing. To qualify runners must have completed a trail 50 mile run within the past year.
If you drop out, you must notify a race official or volunteer. The race must be completed within 32 hours. You must have fun! 

General Information:  The course will go north on the Pacific Crest Trail for 43 miles. Runners will then follow new series of trails to a turnaround point in Cuyamaca State Park (50 miles). Runners will then retrace the course finishing at Lake Morena.

Pacers may join runners at 50 miles or at the Pedro Fages after sunset. The 100 mile course will yield about 12,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.  Fully stocked aid will be provided at nine sites (totaling 16).  Crews may access runners 14 times at aid stations and several other sites along the course. Runners 60 years and older may have a pacer the entire run.

Cut-offs:
There is a cut-off of 8:30 pm pm at the 50 Miles and 6 am on the return trip at Todd's Cabin.

We will have drop bag delivery to the following aid stations:

Pacers may have drop bags, please label them with your runners BIB number.
Bib numbers will be assigned by October 6, 2007 and they can be viewed on the entrants link.
Drop bags may be turned in to race management of Saturday morning at the pavilion at Lake Morena.

The race will be run primarily on the Pacific Crest Trail. Runners will find the course by following the PCT signposts, flour markings, and glow sticks.  Aid will be provided every 4 to 7 miles at 9 sites, for a total of 18 sites.  It is recommended that participants have their own crew and pacers. .  We will attempt to find local runners to pace visitors by circulating requests via E-mail.

The race fees are as follows: $150.00 ($175.00 POST MARKED AFTER 10/01/07). 

All profits will be donated to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue Bureau and the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team.   If you are unfamiliar with the race-course area, print out a copy of the course directions and keep it with you at all times during the run.  It may be best to laminate it into several small cards.

Race Administration will be camping near the start, at Lake Morena Campground, on Friday through Sunday, October 19-21, 2 pm- 2 pm, at campsites 55/56.  These are located near the pavilion.

Race Administration has reserved 10 additional campsites for runners, on a first come basis. You must include the campsite fee with your application. The cost is $35.00 for tent camping and $40.00 for RVs (for Friday and Saturday nights).

The average temperature for this area on October 20 is 65 degrees F at Lake Morena, with an average high of 72 and low of 40 degrees, but it can be colder with some rain.  Plan on 10-15 degrees colder at the top of Mt. Laguna (40-55 F) at 6,000 feet.  It is usually windy.  Please bring appropriate clothing.  If the weather becomes severe (heavy rains), the access roads to several aid stations may be closed.
