Crest (aka Singing Hills)

This Area Is Closed

Crest, also known as Singing Hills, was a great "Joshua Tree - like" sport climbing area in the late 1980's and early 1990's. The weathered granite offers extremely good friction and edging possibilites. The entire area faces south and can get quite hot during summer months.

Access Issue : This Area Is Closed
The Crest climbing area is on private land, and in the mid 90's much hostility and bolt smashing occurred by neighbors, and possibly the owner. At this time, the problem does not seem to have been resolved so we can not encourage climbers to go there.

How to get there : We don't feel we should encourage you to go there, so we won't provide directions at this time.

Types of Climbing : Sport lead, Toprope, Bouldering

Number of Routes : Not sure how many remain

Ratings : 5.8 to 5.12+

Recommended Guide :   None
