Lake Hodges Dam

Lake Hodges Dam climbing area is a very small and totally developed sport climbing area. The climbing is 5.10 to 5.12 on solid granite and is moderately fun. Several of the climbs seem a bit close together, to the point where it is difficult to tell which bolts belong to which routes.

Access Issue : This climbing area is on private land. While the climbers who developed this area do not seem to be the owners, they act like they are. They do not like outsiders intruding into their private little climbing paradise and can be openly hostile. We can not recommend visiting this place because of the problems that may arise.

How to get there :

Types of Climbing : Sport Lead

Number of Routes : 10 to 15 sport leads

Ratings : 5.10 to 5.12

Recommended Guide :   None
