El Cajon Open Space Preserve and Peak
El Capitan is one of the high point in the mid range area of San Diego County.
Located south of Barona Indian Reservation on Wildcat Canyon Road it is a very challenging hike of 11 miles
and 8000ft elevation total to the peak and back. Plan for 5 hours minimum and at least a 1/2 gallon of water minimum.
