back to home

We are proposing an interconnecting trail for Ramona to the Estates and other south communities of Ramona.

These are some of the views hiking thru the SDGE easement.

Proposed San Vicente Memorial Trail Plan

Pink is the pathway DPW will be doing when San Vicente Road gets improved 10 ft D.G. on side of road

Blue is proposed tail thru park

                Green are other proposed trails.

Yellow is a possible staging area

Orange dot at the bend in road is a proposed large culvert pathway (pedestrian and animal)

This plan was accepted by RCPG as a "proposal".

The Parks Dept has said they will be doing the Barnett Preserve Biological study spring 2003.

DPW is starting the Engineering Design Plan for the San Vicente Road improvements.

The bend at the bottom of the hill and the "S" curve where Deviney Sneider died at

mile post 14 will also be repaired.

We await these "vital" repairs to these curves with great anticipation.

I just gifted 30 oak saplings for mitigation of this trail. I planted these oak trees Jan 25 2003.

Jan. 2003. Parks will gets some of the local school kids to help plant the trees in Simon Preserve.

Sam Knott would have been proud. I gathered and planted like Sam taught me last year before he passed away.

See Ramona Trails web page for photos of the tree planting

we did at Simon Park on Jan 2003 for this trail and contacts.

Thanks to all who helped!

How can you help us? Contact San Diego County Parks department and

County Supervisor Dianne Jacob and let them know we want this work completed.
