San Diego River Canyon

|
This is a close up and personal view of Cedar Falls. Some erroneously call this the "Devils Punch Bowl". This name more aptly refers to is alluring draw to the daring young crowd that feel invincible and dive off of this. They lose one of two lives every year due to this dangerous "sport". Please do not dive! Many have died or been permanently disabled. There is a very strong effort to change the status of this area to "wilderness". This means we cannot access this for legitimate hiking and enjoyment use. This is a real shame! Please help control abuse of this, so we can keep enjoying and accessing this "treasure" of San Diego County backcountry. We need to report vandals and illegal dumping. A good idea would be to bring garbage bags to trek our share out to help keep it clean.
Please!
Bring nothing in, take only the views out!
