Lunch Program
Families
may choose to participate in the hot lunch program or bring lunch from home.
Milk and snacks are available for all students. Payment must accompany all
orders.
Information regarding the Free or Reduced Hot Lunch Program
is provided to all families at the beginning of each year. Eligibility is
determined according to the standards outlined in the government regulations.
Students who bring a lunch from home must be able to open
and handle all of the packaging. Students do not have access to microwave
ovens or any means to heat any part of a meal. Students do not have access to
refrigeration.
Birthday parties are not allowed in the cafeteria during the
lunch periods. No other food may be delivered to students during the lunch
periods.
The government subsidized lunch program does not allow
students to have access to soda pop. For this reason, students may not use the
soda pop vending machine for lunch.
Prior to the start of the hot lunch service, and following the end of the hot lunch service each year, students must bring a packed lunch from home. Deliveries of pizza, or any other restaurant or fast food items by businesses or family and friends are prohibited.
