COMPUTER LAB PROCEDURES, RULES, GRADING POLICY—

Grades 4,5

For the 2002-2003 school year

 LAB PROCEDURES

 1.  Enter the lab QUIETLY and go to your assigned seat.

2.  Be prepared for lab.  That includes clean hands!

3.  Follow all directions the first time they are given.

4.  Use the equipment, CDs, and furniture correctly.

5.  Complete all assignments on time.

6.  Stay in your seat, unless a printout of your work is ready.

7.  Keep the room neat and clean at all times. (check charts for details)

8.  Leave the lab quietly.

 

CONDUCT RULES

THOU SHALT NOT:

¥ touch anyone else’s equipment unless given permission

¥ copy other peoples’ work - neither classmates or from research

               resources

¥  bring pens, highlighters, or markers to computer lab

¥  DISTURB THE QUIET NEEDED BY OTHERS TO GET THEIR WORK DONE

¥  be rude to your teacher or fellow students

¥  bring CD’s or disks from home to the lab

 

GRADING REQUIREMENTS

             1.  All assignments completed on time

      O     2.  Proper conduct and attitude at all times

             3.  Excellent care of CD’s, equipment, furniture, and room

             4.        Excellent use of class time, helping others when own work is

      finished

 

             1.  All assignments completed by end of the grading period

      S     2.  Proper conduct and attitude most of the time

             3.  Good care of CD’s, equipment, furniture, and room

             4.  Good use of class time

 

             1.  Assignments missing/not completed

      U     2.  Improper conduct occurring regularly

             3.  Negligence in use of software, equipment, furniture or room

             4.  Wasting class time
