Memorial Scholarship
has been awarded to
Ms. Jaime Guardalabene
Jaime Guardalabene, a University of New Orleans student and resident of St. Bernard community, was named the 2009 recipient of the St. Bernard Sportsmen's League Joseph C. Fecke Memorial Scholarship Award. Jaime plans to use the four-year $1000 scholarship to continue her education at UNO in pursuing her degree in Biology. The annual scholarship is presented to a resident of St. Bernard or the east bank of Plaquemines Parish for the purpose of financial education assistance that will lead to the advancement in the areas of ecological studies; ecology, conservation, biology or botany. Applicants must be accepted to or already enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate-seeking program and have at least a cumulative 2.5 grade-point average. Jaime is the daughter of Jenifer Heintz and Tim Guardalabene.
