David Roussel
| The 2009 Labor Day retreat at Manresa provided “a perfect world” for prayer and reflection. SCB alumnus David Roussel, who drove 12 hours from Melbourne, FL for the retreat, prays at the crucifix in Loyola Hall. |

A photo tribute to David Roussel
The Lamb, October 2006
Given David Roussel’s highly active involvement in the SCB Men of Manresa, we had a plethora of pictures to choose from for this brief photographic tribute. Although the pictures and captions on this page could never do justice to his handsome appearance, his suave demeanor, or his most gifted voice, we do hope that they help reflect what sort of a member of our organization Dave has been for so many years. David Roussel epitomizes what it means to be a true Man of Manresa.
May God continue to bless you, Dave.

With wife Ellen and son Lucas at our March, 2005, Men of Manresa meeting—It is impossible to talk about Dave Roussel without mentioning his relationship with his creator, his wife and three outstanding children, and all others who are so blessed to meet him. Prayerful, devout, and faithful to God’s will. At one with his loving family. A great example and a great resource to his fellow man. |

As lighting director for “Mary’s Way of the Cross”, 2006— Our brother Dave Roussel can be described as serving, talented and focused. He lends his talents to many parish activities, and he lends them effectively. Without want for recognition or glory, he serves God by serving others. |

SCB Men of Manresa yearbook photo, 2003— This is but one miniscule example of how compliant, eager and willing Dave is. When the request went out for SCB Men of Manresa to pose in shirt and tie for our first-ever “yearbook” photos in 2003, many members disappeared into the woodwork. Not Dave. He was totally compliant—among the first to pose. He was eager; OK, maybe eager to get it over with. But he was willing, as he has been whenever any request is made. |

Under the oaks at Manresa, 2001 — Before the start of our July, 2001, retreat at Manresa, Dave agreed to pose for a casual portrait beneath the sprawling oak trees. To me, his expression says it all: Humble. Cheerful. Pleasant. Even when given the opportunity to be otherwise, he is humble. Even during the most disastrous circumstances, he brings cheer wherever he goes. And no matter what, no matter where, he is a true pleasure to be with. |
