Mitch Chesne

(May, 2009, Parish Fair) Mitch Chesne (above ) worked at the beer booth, and Paul Schmidt cooked crawfish stew for the fair this year. Both men are talented chefs. Emma and Oswald Schexnayder have helped with the fair since its inception. This year, Oswald repaired cooking equipment prior to the start of the fair. Mitch and Oswald are charter members of our organization who attended retreat at the encouragement of our founder, Prof. Harry Hurst. All three men are devoted Catholics and selfless servants of Christ; they each attend our meetings whenever possible and we hope to see each one of them again in the near future.

MEN OF MANRESA ARE AMONG MANY PARISH FAIR VOLUNTEERS

The Lamb, June 2009

We begin by thanking God for al the gifts He has given us -such a wonderful parish, and such a successful 2009 parish fair. We thank our priests, the entire parish staff, and all the organizers of this year’s fair. We thank all those who prepared for the fair, who volunteered to work at the fair, and who came out to enjoy the food, fun and fellowship.

And on these pages of our own monthly newsletter, we present just a few of the many Men of Manresa who were among those thousands of parishioners and friends who prompt us to also close with all thanks and glory to God.
