And yet again there is an updated version of the best freeware graphics viewer available. It just doesn't get any better than IrfanView 32. Icon Digger 2000 v2.2 -- Win9x, WinNTx, Win2K
Icon Digger 2000 is an excellent free utility that lets you extract icons from executables, icon libraries, and DLLs. Browse through an Explorer-like file list, and whenever Icon Digger finds an icon, it is displayed in a viewing window. I use this utility for all my icon extraction needs. The latest version fixes some minor problems.

XrX Add Bar -- Win9x
There is a new beta of one of the most interesting little specialty utilities I've ever come across. XrX Add Bar utility allows you to create professional type Logo.sys files. All you need is the appropriate picture formatted correctly. XrX will insert the moving "wave" at the bottom in any color combination you choose.

WinLogo Changer v1.2 -- Win9x
PC911 regular and all around swell guy James P. Girard sent word of a few of his choice freeware utils. I agree. One of the best fun utils on Jim's list is WinLogo Changer v1.2. This util will convert BMP,JPEG,JPG,GIF images to proper logo format automatically, and it saves the original. Make your own splash screen then look into XrX Add Bar listed above to complete the effect.

CadStd v3.50 -- Win9x, WinNT4, Win2K
Are you a struggling draftsman? Then you know that AutoCAD is an extremely expensive utility and that most of the time you don't even use it in 3D. Well then, I may have just what you need. CadStd is, amazingly enough, a freeware 2D drafting util, and a good one at that. It loads in a fraction of the time AutoCAD takes to grind to life and will run much more quickly on an older (slower) workstation. Download it.
