Bay Update: May 8: The Thursday morning run group is going to announce our new summer hours.
Sunrise is currently before 6am and the temperature will only be getting hotter. Starting now and at least into August we will meet at 6:00am. This will allow more runner’s that work at 8:00am to join us. We currently are still thinking that we will continue the 8.2 loop but, it is a group decision so it depends who shows up and then democracy wins. We have a small but reliable group of runners that have been meeting for the last year. We normally run 8.2 miles during Rockin' 'n' Runnin' marathon training season (Jan - Jun). Over the summer we run 5.0 miles OR the 8.2-mile loop. Total time for our 8.2-mile loop is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes when we are running casual as a group -- just to let you all know our normal pace. Depending who all shows up, we are flexible to include all paces though. Happy running! Paul Baum (5/2008) Occasionally the group will do the course for the USAT&F February 2008 Cross County Championships. |
