The San Diego Chapter of the PCA meets 3 times a year on Saturday afternoons.  At each meeting we have a featured speaker highlighting a specific paperweight topic and a PCA Registered Paperweight Dealer  in attendance with a variety of beautiful weights for sale. 

Many of our members belong to the Paperweight Collectors Association, Inc. (PCA, Inc.) which is a non-profit organization dedicated to appreciating and collecting glass paperweights. For a half century, the PCA, Inc. has championed the study and collecting of antique, vintage, and contemporary glass paperweights. The mission of the PCA, Inc. is to promote education: to increase knowledge about paperweights, their creators, and the astounding glass medium from which they are created.

We can start gathering about 12:00 PM to enjoy Ed and Adda’s great collections of paperweights, copperware and art!

 Snacks will be served. 
 

Ed is serving as the PCA Region III Director again.  He was asked to fill in for the recently vacated position and he has agreed to so until the 2009 National Convention in Toledo, Ohio.

Gary will be talking about carpet grounds – please bring a favorite to share.

John Deacons has expanded his line of carpet grounds and has introduced millefiori candleholders.

Peter McDougall has introduced 59 new designs and Gary has them all on order.  Hopefully he will have an example of each by our meeting!

Peter’s wife Catherine, is recovering from successful back surgery.

Gary will bring one of Ken Rosenfeld’s spheres.  Ken’s artistry has evolved into a new delicacy and lightness in his new flower weights and spheres.
