Etch-A-Sketch Animator, 1 GBA game, talking Bart Simpson watch, 2 packs of TMNT Tissues

It's kind of nice to be able to get back to buying completely useless trinkets and pop culture artifacts. Here's today's loot, all from America's Thrift Store in Baton Rouge:

01. Etch-A-Sketch Animator from Ohio Art

I have fond memories of playing with this thing as a kid, so it wasn't even a question at only 88 cents. It works like a regular Etch-A-Sketch, except digital and blocky - and you can create and save up to 12 (I think) separate pictures and string them together to create an animation. I'm thinking about creating an animation of a man vomiting on himself for old time's sake.

02. Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku game for GameBoy Advance

I don't own a GBA, and I'm not really into Dragon Ball Z - but I'm preparing for when GBAs start showing up in thrift stores. To misuse a popular video game saying: Save early, save often! Apparently at ATS the smaller a video game cartridge is, the less it's worth as this was only a quarter and a well-worn copy of Duck Hunt for the NES was 75 cents.

03. Bart Simpson talking watch from Burger King

Okay, so there's no way I can find to set the correct time on this thing, and the only thing you can make it say is "Cool your jets, man!" Hey, it was 25 cents, what d'ya want?

04. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tissue paper

This is the sort of obscure pop culture ephemera others pass over, but I really enjoy finding. The Turtles were on everything back in the early 90s and tissue paper was no exception. Each packet is action-packed with ten 2-ply tissues for all your crime fighting and nose blowing needs, and TMNT designs adorn each battle-tested tissue. How could I refuse such a crucial part of TMNT lore? Just look at Leonardo up there victoriously holding aloft his prized tissue as if to say, "I just picked up Splinter's rat droppings with this!" Inspiring, and 10 cents a piece.
