THIS IS A HAND-BUILT WEB SITE

THIS IS VERSION 3.5 of the Tasmanian Debbil Web Site, a.k.a. Heck. This version replaces virtually all of the nested tables in Version 3.0 with Cascading Style Sheet positioning. It also adds some new content.

Most of the work was done on a Sony® PCG-GRX560 notebook computer running Windows XP Home. Graphics and animations were designed using Adobe Photoshop Elements® v. 1.0.128. I wrote and edited the code with the freeware Crimson Editor and transferred my files to the web with Crimson Editor's built-in ftp client, as well as the ftp client AceFTP 3 Freeware®. After composing the code I cleaned it up using the W3C's free utility HTML TIDY. I proofed the results with Microsoft Internet Explorer® 6.0.2800.1106 and Mozilla Firefox® 1.0 on the 17 inch screen of the Sony notebook, as well as proofing with Internet Explorer® 5.1.6 for the Mac and Nescape Navigator® 4.77 for the Mac, viewing the content on a seventeen inch iiyama Vision Master Pro17® monitor. As on the previous versions of the site, I made the mapped links with the Mac freeware Mapper 1.1d3. All of the <mailto> links were hidden from address harvesting spiders by the freeware AUTOMATIC LABS ENKODER.

I DESIGNED THE PREVIOUS versions of this web site using a PowerComputing PowerTowerPro® 225 with a 225 Mhz PowerPC chip, running Macintosh® OS 8.6 and connected to an Epson Expression® 626 flatbed scanner and a Wacom Artz II® twelve inch digital tablet. I used Adobe Photoshop® 5.5 to design all of the illustrations, and the freeware GifBuilder 1.0 to animate the .gif file in the title bar. I wrote the code using the free text editor BBEdit Lite® 4.6 and transferred my files to the webserver using the shareware Fetch 3.03. I proofed the pages with Netscape Communicator® 4.77 for the Macintosh, viewing the pages on a seventeen inch iiyama Vision Master Pro17® monitor. I made the mapped links with the freeware Mapper 1.1d3.
