Mother's earthly body rests on a hillside north of Norman overlooking a peaceful lake and surrounded by fields of the wildflowers she loved so much, and lots of birds and butterflies under the matchless Oklahoma sky. She had a deadpan gallows humor about the place. She told the woman who sold my parents the plot: "I'm only coming out here once. Twice at the most."
