the children in
his will when probated in Berkeley Co., WV on 12 Feb 1827.
and his family and the Hagler family migrated from the valley
of the South Branch to Ross Co, Ohio in the late summer of
1809, locating near what is now known as Convenience Station,
on the D&S.E. Railroad. He remained only two years in Ross Co,
when in the spring of 1811, he removed to Jasper.Details on Leonard and his children was received from Joseph
Kimmel, 5578 Foland Rd, Paradise, CA 95969-5304. Information
from Joseph added details to that already obtained from other
sources.

35. Abraham Bowers
migrated to Ross Co., OH about 1805 after his marriage to
Elizabeth. They lived there until 1829 when the sold their
farm and moved to Tippecanoe
Co., IN. Abraham is described as a Dunker minister in
"Genealogy of Abner Bowers", 1934.The family information (children) for Abraham and Elizabeth was
obtained from "Genealogy of Abner Bowers" by Lewis M. Dunbar.
The descendants for Abner were also obtained from the copy.

37. Jacob Shobe Jr.
was known as Jacob Jr. because his cousin, Jacob Shobe, who
married Sarah Carr, lived near him and was seven years older,
and this was, no doubt, the method of the families for
distinguishing between them.

38. Daniel Shobe
and Elizabeth went to Montgomery County, Missouri. The first
record of Daniel indicates be entered parcels of land on 8
Dcember 1818. He and the family latter settled on L'Outre
(Otter) Island in the Missouri River across the river from
Hermann, MO. Daniel farmed the land on the island and built his
home there. He died of cholera on Sep 14, 1845. He had
isolated himself in the slave quarters to care for one of his
slaves and had contracted the disease.The following year on Dec 15, 1846, Elizabeth, with her sons,
John and Abraham and her daughter, Virginia, set out by boat to
cross the Missouri River to Herman, to shop and bring back some
brick for a fireplace. As they neared home the boat struck a
snag in the river and over turned. Elizabeth and the two boys
were drowned, but Virginia drifted down the river for about
three miles and was rescued by a ferryman. The bodies of the
boys were recoved but that of Elizabeth was never found.After the tragedy, the three girls were taken back to Virginia
to the home of the Parsons family where they were later all
married, but Virginia never quite recovered from the horror,
and, after her husband and daughter died, she passed away still
quite young.Tillman Cullum was appointed to administor Daniel's estate 7
Oct 1845. Tillman resigned his Judge position to administor
Daniel's estate.Daniel appears on the 1819 Mont CO. MO tax list along with
Rudolph.
settled near Chamois, MO in 1818. He entered land East of
present day Chamois, the Southeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter section of Section 12 on 4 Feb 1836.
