"In Memory of the Ones Waiting at Rainbow Bridge....."

rainbowheader

I have been blessed with many wonderful pets in my lifetime, CocoPuff, Osa, Fluffy, Kit-Kat, Grey Muffin, Zeus, Sparky and Sasha to name a few but on this page I will only have pictures of the ones that have passed on since we've been at Shotgun Ranch with the exception of my dear and sweet Shasta.. the dog who truly thought of me as her mother.

Me and  Shasta.......
We found Shasta in a plastic bag when she was barely a day old. I bottle-fed her and became her surrogate mother.
Shasta loved to give Tamera kisses.
The only dog I ever had who had her own "mimi" blanket......

Misty

Misty  passed on in 2000......she loved all the kitties.... and loved baths.....Here she is right after a bath....

Randi

Miranda, our beloved "Randi" died on July 21, 2003. Her death is still a mystery, she drowned in an underground irrigation pipe. We think of our "Rand girl" often.

Mellie
Mellie was my baby for 17 years. She was the cuddliest cat I've ever had, maybe it was because she was blind. She was blind when I got her, apparently she had been rescued from a lab where they put acid in her eyes. In spite of her blindness Mellie was a very happy kitty. She co-authored a children's book with me called Melodie Whiskers Out-Patient Surgery Scrapbook . I believe it is still being used in various hospital. Mellie went on to Rainbow Bridge on March 11, 2004, after 3 years of kidney disease. She took a piece of my heart with her.

Sylvester joined Mellie at Rainbow Bridge on February 13, 2007.
He was a very special kitty and we will always remember "our Sylie"

The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together
