A Pinch of This and a Pinch
of That..................
Iodized
Salt.....
I feed
1-2 tablespoons of iodized
salt a day to each horse. Two to three
tablespoons
in the hottest part of the summer and in the winter one to two
tablespoons. (In
the winter this encourages them to drink water)
Routinely, I do not feed electrolytes because Arizona hay tends to be
high in potassium...the last thing we need to give them is more
potassium. I feed either iodized salt or plain salt depending on our
iodine needs.
Springtime
GL ....Glucosamine Hydrochloride for our horses with
arthritis.
MSM by Vita-Flex ....Anti-inflammatory for those with arthritis.
Psyllium
powder......for 6-7 days every month
In addition to these supplements I give my
horses herbs for variety and for medicinal purposes.
I use my own seasonal blends to spice up their meals and my own
flavorings to assure they eat all their supplements. If you are
interested in herbs be sure visit my other site Witcheylady Creations &
