Who is Sam? New Stuff Archives: June02 July02 |
We are all gratified now to know that George Witless is a perfect anus. No one seems interested now in why the Bushitters allowed the 9/11 hijackings and attacks to occur, and not a soul is interested in how and why the Bushitters enabled Enron, Worldcom, Xerox, and likely dozens or scores more large corporations to cheat the employees, stockholders, and public just like Neil Bush did at Silverado, Jeb did with some real estate outfit, and George Witless did with Harken. There isn't one Democrat either in Congress or in "exile," and that includes Clinton, Gore, and all their minions of the 8 Democratic years, who has the intelligence or guts to call the Bushitters the liars they prove daily to be. You might as well join me and start searching for a country in which to live; this one is headed toward being far worse for the "little people" like us than either Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union. Do be smart however and pick a country which has no oil or other strategic resources; otherwise you will find yourself right back under the thumb of the same dictatorship to which you are subjected right now. I just unmuted Condomleeeeeeeeeza (excusemeplease, DOCTOR) Rice for ten seconds, only to hear her lie twice in that space of time, so I muted her once again and came back to the slog. Sorry, but we KNOW that Bush himself is not a factor; we know that he has yet to prove to anyone that he is smart enough to tie shoes or to scratch his head without hurting himself seriously, either by hematosis or with splinters under his fingernails, and we know that he is both as ignorant as a post and as dumb as a cow, thus being utterly and hopelessly incompetent even to comprehend the complexity of the job of being POTUS, let alone able actually to make any small decision on his own. Not the Emperor, but the Dictator is parading about America just as naked as any jaybird, and no one will even mention the dirty "D" word. The Congress continues to act as if it still is a viable branch of government, the one where the people are supposedly represented, and of course its power has been neutralized by the thoroughly corrupt Supreme Court, which will back the Executive (read, DICTATORS) in every way to maintain the power of the dictators over every American citizen. I don't understand why it is so hard to recognize, so I must conclude that the media and the Democrats are together in enabling the dictatorship so as to keep their own positions of relative wealth and prosperity while the totalitarian governing body enslaves and cheats the average citizens. George Witless is proud to state that he runs 3 miles in "about 21 minutes." Ask him how long it takes him to run a mile . . . It will doubtless take him about that long to figure it out, if indeed he ever could do so. 6/29/02 Absolutely amazing. Incredible, or to plagiarize Joe Conason, astonishing! Israelis are murdering arab children, the corrupt SC has trashed the Bill of Rights, and all the media can find to occupy its time and space is Bush's anus. So there you have it: Clinton's penis and Bush's anus are both far more important to the "liberal" media (who hounded Clinton mercilessly and have given a drunken bum, drughead imbecile a complete pass) than the death of democracy in America and the birth of Nazism in Israel. Now that a very few reporters and analysts have started to notice that the Bushitters are running a dictatorship with all its attendant secrecy and lies, it won't be long now before the American "salt mines" are open for the business of holding banished dissidents. Some editors, reporters, and TV personalities have already been fired for the treasonous reporting of the truth, and it won't be long either before we start to see American soldiers killing American citizens in Market Squares and Herald Squares and Washington Squares all over the USA. Bob Beckel said it on Crotchfire (CNN) last night: "I'll never understand how the blue collared workers could ever in their lives vote for any Republican." I'll never understand that either, Bob, but it took enough of them, buttressed by outright vote fraud, to put the imbecile into position for either the Florida legislature or the Supremely corrupt USSC to install the loser (and what a loser this pipsqueak idiot child comprises) in the executive where his keepers could then destroy America and all she ever stood for in the world. And in case you hadn't noticed, and of course the "liberal media" never will, the "war on terrorism" is as phony as Bush's association with that famous Grecian, Aristotle. It served the dictators quite well however, for their getting the military firmly under their control, and for the trashing of the rights of the citizens of America. Save your pity for the youngsters; I'm an old man who lived 68 years in a free and democratic country which, with all its warts, supported the best life ever offered to any people in history. I've seen the birth of TV, jumbo jets, heart transplants, plastics, computers, nuclear power, and two incarnations of hula hoops. What the Bushitters are offering is garbage, pond scum, bleak ugliness. The only bright hope must come from the Germans: about fifty years after the defeat of THEIR dictatorship, they have made it back to a semblance of democracy. The dark cloud on the American horizon is the fact that instead of losing, the Bushitters are more apt to WIN WORLD WAR THREE. And where and how would we all be today, had Hitler won WW2 instead of being defeated? 6/28/02 Uh oh. Now the "government" is saying that they no longer think Mussolini is the "20th hijacker." Then why are they holding him, and with what will they charge him now that it has been proven that they lied in the first place? No, I don't believe the government; I think they still like him for the "missing" fifth man on one of the planes, but they have decided that the proof of this is no better than that which they promised and never delivered vis a vis bin Laden's guilt with respect to "masterminding" the attacks. In other words, a typical DOJ-FBI cockup. Then there was the Supremely corrupt Court: they unilaterally repealed the Fourth Amendment by ruling that we can search and seize without probable cause or a court order. They also trashed the First Amendment by ruling that the government can pay for religious education. Why am I not surprised? I mean, when has the Supremely corrupt Court not done what the Bushitters want them to do? 6/27/02 Forget the "under God" business; it is a distraction, an obvious ploy by a right wing judge guaranteed to send the media into a frenzy, thus diverting attention away from what the Bushitters knew and when they knew it about the hijackings and attacks on 9/11. What you should concentrate upon is what went on in Cheney's "energy" meetings that he doesn't want you to hear repeated. There is no doubt in my mind that when one of the principals in the meetings lets the cat out of the bag, we will know EXACTLY why the "plan" for the invasion of Afghanistan was already in the White House BEFORE 9/11, and we will understand why the Bushitters didn't want to stop the hijackings about which they had been warned back in August. We will also know why they blamed bin Laden without a shred of real evidence that he or anyone else in Afghanistan (if indeed he was in that country at all after 9/11) had one single thing to do with the Mo Atta group of terrorists. Connect THOSE dots if you dare. 6/26/02 I understand that Airyfart has refused to accept the USA as a broker for mideast peace until it has had an election to reestablish democracy and rule of, by, and for its people, or so says the author of a piece in common dreams <http://commondreams.org/views02/0626-06.htm>. We also note that in another Common Dreams piece by Ira Chernus that Bush is "irrelevant," and must go. (both of these links supplied by C DeSalvo), and I have decided that since Bush can't hand over Eric Rudolph that he is as worthless as the Mullah Omar, and I'm wondering if someone might not be dropping daisycutters or their equivalent on us any time now. ************************************************* At last . . . someone besides yours truly is fearless
(or stupid) enough to say the dirty "D" word. Nat
Parry on the consortium (with reporting from the always factual Robert
Parry) observes that "Over the past nine months, George W. Bush has
marched off in a political direction so troubling that American editorial
writers don't dare speak its name. He is moving toward a system in which
an un-elected leader decides what freedoms his people will be allowed at
home and what countries will be invaded
************************************************* George Witless made a policy speech. What did he say? He said essentially that whatever Israel wants to do is okay with the USA; and he said that the Pals would have to pass a camel through the eye of a very small needle to get their own state. What he didn't say, but which is obvious to me, is that Israel will be part of his administration's imperialistic plan for the mideast, i.e. they will engage Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria while the USA takes over Iraq, Iran, and eventually Saudi Arabia. Surely you've seen that coming from day one when the USA invaded Afghanistan for no reason other than to gain a foothold in the region for future invasions? Oh, there was the idea of ousting the Taliban so that the USA could control a pipeline for Caspian Sea oil, but when we own Iran, that may not be vital any longer. Crusades are afoot; watch this space for "I told you so's." 6/24/02 . . . taking my rental car back to the airport today . . . aha, I rent a car for visitors who come to see me. . . . I found yet another freedom of ours which the hijackers of 9/11 have taken away from us: the right to return our rental cars to the airport unchallenged and unafraid. To be fair, I suppose because the parking garage for the rental cars is right across the street from the terminal, they SHOULD have some kind of check on the cars which are returned . . . having said that however, I find that as I was approaching the garage, there are signs which say "rental car return" and "rental cars follow the green line," and then all of a sudden rising up in front of me is a guardshack at a fork in the road, one fork of which goes to the parking area and the other follows "the green line" on which of course I was intent as I looked up and saw the shack. I didn't think that the shack was for me but was for the other fork in the road, and so I went right on through it, and noticed only when I was a hundred or two hundred yards on down the road that a guard had come out after I passed and was standing there. I gave a shrugging sign to him and continued on my way to the Hertz parking area and proceeded to turn in my car. So if the guard idea would have worked to keep bombs out of the airport HAD I STOPPED, I'll never know, but I do know that he only is prepared to keep bombs out of the airport if they are carried by honest citizens who stop because they are afraid. He had no chase cars, no radio to a check point down the road, nothing . . . in other words, a phony checkpoint which obviously did no good because I didn't even stop for it and nothing happened. And I can't imagine one guard being able to check every car which enters an airport, and so I can only surmise that the purpose in having him there was to break the spirit of the citizens of America, since he wasn't in a position to stop any tuhrists. Again to be fair, had there been an admonition when I approached the shack to stop . . . something which said along with the other information about the green line, "follow green line to car return---stop for inspection by guard," then I'd have stopped because I want to abide by the rules, no matter how silly and useless they may be. To me though there has to be a REASON to stop unless there is a sign saying "stop for guard," and frankly I think there should be a gate there which FORCES the driver to stop and stay there until the guard activates the gate allowing the driver to proceed, if indeed they want us to stop . . . But as I said, I can't imagine what the guard was going to do to find the forty pounds of c-4 in someone's luggage or hidden under the hood or chassis, or in the trunk of the car, so as far as I can tell, the only reason for the guard's being there is to let the people know that someone cares about doing something to protect them, even if what they are doing doesn't protect them at all. ******************************************************* The Bushitters have stopped Bob Graham and his "joint" investigation . . . no one could stop the Republicans investigating Clinton's joint . . . but the word is out now that because the committee "doesn't have enough information to know what questions to ask," they are not going to ask any at all. To be fair, some committee members don't like this, but they are being told to shush . . . my own view is that they ALL know exactly what they would find if they continued, and they are afraid to let the public know that the Bushitters knew full well what was coming (airplanes flying into buildings), when it was coming (the first half of September), and WHERE it was coming (the WTC in Noo Yawk and in Washington), and they sat on the information and did nothing to keep it from coming. I'm sure our representatives in Congress don't want us to find this out because it would weaken our confidence in the otherwise brilliant Bushitters who have done so much for us, and it would likely affect our confidence in our economy to the extent that our fear would trigger an economic downturn which would cost the representatives in Congress a lot of money in their business dealings and their stock portfolios . . . And if we found out the truth, what could we do about it? The only option is to challenge the Bushitters and try to stop them from running a dictatorship, and that means that many of the Congressmen we have would necessarily have to be killed by the Bushitters to bring the rest of the legislative body into line with the totalitarian state. So you can see that Bob Graham is doing what's best for the people; his way we live in chains, but we live safe from being murdered; the other way, we face tanks in Market Square perhaps. I guess it's like having cancer: best to ignore it and just die without all the aggravation of doing operations and chemotherapy . . . figure that you were going to die anyway. The idea here is that you probably WERE going to die and had very little chance of any kind of complete recovery, and so you are better off not knowing anything about what's wrong with you. Thank you Bob Graham for being so thoughtful and considerate of us. 6/23/02 The Navy is safe for now, but I don't think the USA has long to go . . . when my sister and her family were leaving from the airport this morning early, a typical collaborator type managed to berate and demean every single airline customer in the line going up to the security check point, and in the process didn't ask for their help in getting a difficult job done, but DEMANDED that they each and every one obey his orders without question. In other words, the Bushitters have managed to turn the attacks by the terrorist hijackers into a way to cow and make servile every American citizen . . . maybe you don't think so, but to me this and the rest of the destruction of democratic rights of citizens means that the bad guys have won, whether the "bad guys" comprise the ones like bin Laden and/or Mo Atta, or the ones like Karl Rove and John Asscoughed. Of course Bush himself is a dupe, little more than a fool who has been led into a silly charade where he pretends to be President of the United States, a job he couldn't ever in his miserable life could have done had he not destroyed his brain with drugs and alcohol long ago. I'm sorry for all of you young ones, including my nephew. You will have to deal with it. You will have the job of trying to put the USA back on course after this junta is deposed and we have apologized to the rest of the world for what the Bushitters did to it. 6/20/02 Taking a brief vacation to install one of my nephews as an officer and a gentleman in the service of the United States of America; he will be a Navy Ensign for a while, but with his superiority and arrogance I have no doubt he will soon replace his Commander in Chief as President, and he won't even have to go AWOL to make it. One of my frequent "missives" to the media whores has been given an airing by the Baltimore Chronicle-Sentinel at their web site at http://www.baltimorechronicle.com/letters_trifecta_jun02.shtml. They "edited" my copy to remove the sobriquet "Bushitters," replacing it with "Bush people," but there were another 15-20 similar replies to the initial article at http://www.baltimorechronicle.com/trifecta_jun02.shtml which was supplied to me by C. Desalvo. Every little bit will help if we can start a groundswell of grumbling at least to let them know they aren't in the clear---that some of us are watching them destroy our country. 6/19/02 <http://www.cfr.org/public/Clinton_6-17-02_Transcript.html>
"So it's difficult for people in a democracy to make good sensible decisions if they believe things that aren't true." "Look at this, it doesn't even work for half the world's people. Half the people live on less than $2 a day, a billion on less than $1 a day. A billion people go to bed hungry every night." Why have we not heard about how many jobs have been lost since the Bushitters came to town? Why is EVERYTHING geared to helping the wealthy and the big corporations while nothing is dedicated to the advantage of people who are near to if not starving? I'm not making a plea for socialism or communism here, only wondering why it wouldn't be far smarter of us to give more money to poor people to spend so that they could buy more goods and services? The point is that whatever increases the poor receive ALL GET SPENT and go back into the economy with good result, where the fantastic sums delivered to fat cats more often than not get moved to off shore accounts where the earnings can't be taxed and don't get spent at all, only increase the financial position of the already fat cat. I'm aware of the "trickle down" theory, and it's not all spin; IF the fat cats would invest in new technology and new projects which created jobs for the middle and poor class, then that would be good also. Unfortunately there is risk attached to that kind of investment, and so those who indulge in it demand a return which so diminishes the trickling down that it trickles out. How many outright lies can you think of the Bushitters have told us? How many evasions? How many spins have been made? Tell me one time they have told the absolute transparent truth about anything. Bush helping to write his speech, and of course he depends on his intimate knowledge of Alexis de Tocqueville and Aristotle for his incisive inputs, don't you know? (Thanks to Joe Conason for his column today and m.l. bateman for linking me to it). Bush can't even SPELL de Tocqueville . . . ask him to try . . . don't bother asking him to IDENTIFY de Tocqueville though . . . he might know that Aristotle was a Grecian . . . ha ha ha ha ha . . . but he might not . . . I wonder if he even knows what and where Greece is, let alone what part it played in the history of civilization. I don't think those matters come up when he and his family get together and talk about pussy. 6/18/02 Hairy balls coming ashore in New Hampshire. Good and bad on the judge who overturned the murder verdict on the San Francisco killer dog walker: good for coming to his senses, and bad for letting the charge be tried by a jury in the first place. Charging the woman with murder was the very worst kind of prosecutorial misconduct. Bad news from the mideast: another bus bomb; this kind of thing will continue as long as there are Islamic militants who have no other way to attack Israel for wrongs they have done as supposed retaliation for previous Pal bombings in the vicious cycle of "chicken-egg" violence. If the Afghan citizens who lost precious children and other relatives could get at the USA for killing its citizens with our daisycutters and other bombs, we would be facing the same treatment as Israel, but we have the advantage of remoteness from the victims of our own violence. All our victims' families can do is weep and hate us for killing their loved ones in vengeance over something for which none of them could reasonably be held responsible in any way. Love thy neighbor as thyself . . . Do unto others as you would have them do unto you . . . Unless of course you hate yourself, and you would have your neighbors submit to you in obeisance as they hand you the keys to their oil supplies and pipelines. 6/17/02 Well, here we are again, and the managed US news has nothing to say . . . except that the puppet is in Crawford and wants to give government money to poor people so he can funnel the government money to the housing industry. Why can't I accept the offer of government money for downpayments as a boon to the poor and not see it as a gift to the big contractors? Start with the fact that the Republicans have not done one thing for the "little guy" since they championed the GI Bill of Rights legislation in the forties for WW2 vets. Even then, they were going after votes, but at least they did something which helped the little guy. Since then, they have not done one thing in national politics which benefitted the little guy unless it benefited the wealthy disproportionately. They may give us a tiny tax cut of a few hundred dollars, but when you see how well this treats the top one per cent, you laugh to think they want you to believe that they gave YOU something. The only other time I can recall when a Republican President did anything for the "little people" was when Lincoln freed the slaves. If you can think of something, please write me. It doesn't have to be something which EXCLUDES the wealthy or comes to their detriment, only something which was DESIGNED with the "little guy" in mind and doesn't give the wealthy 500 times as much. I've challenged a large number of people with this question and have had not one suggestion which held up. One would think Democrats would recognize this situation and make use of it to get the voters to "throw the rascals out," but I've not heard any of the Democrats even suggest that no national level Republican has ever delivered on any promise to the ordinary people. 6/16/02 The news has dried up completely. I suppose that the Bushitters have called in whatever chips they are owed by the media moguls, and we are being treated to wildfires, missing persons, kidnapped children from Utah, soccer, and reruns of Watergate, but not another word about the culpability of the Bushitters with respect to the 9/11 hijackings and murders. I don't know what to do; the Bushitters have been feeding Bob (make it up as I go) Woodward leaks about how they intend to knock Saddam Hussein off his pedestal so they can get some more WAR propaganda going, but we all know by now that the last truthful word Woodward said was during Watergate when he had Bernstein looking over his shoulder keeping him from lying as he no doubt wanted to do. He has more than made up for it lately. So with no news, there is no analysis . . . all I can say is that when the fascists complete their takeover, then the news says only what they allow it to say, and here we are. There was one article in the SP Times likening Asscoughed to J. Edgar, but I told my informant (Cheri) that to find a comparison for Asscoughed, you had to leave the USA and go to the old USSR and see how the nkvd and the kgb behaved. And I think our current media are much like Pravda and Tass . . . 6/15/02 Yesterday I brought up the idea of Bush's "protective" armor of ignorance, i.e. he can't be blamed because, like his father, he was "out of the loop." The Bushitters can be quite sure of this because he will ALWAYS be out of said loop, not being bright enough most of the time to understand the underlying issue or the action taken. But aside from that, just what is the strategy, the long term plan for America under the Bushitters? Unless you have a fly on the wall somewhere you have to wait to find out what they are really up to unless you can take clues from what they already have done so as to predict future transgressions. First off, they could not stand for a balanced budget and the idea of paying down the debt, because the very first thing on their agenda was a gigantic tax cut which was essentially unnecessary, but more important UNWANTED by the public. This seemingly stupid maneuver may give away some of the plan, however; aside from paying off campaign debts to wealthy contributors, the tax cut almost surely guarantees a deficit of large proportions and a debt of ten trillion dollars within this decade. What is behind this insanity? Well who owes the debt? The government, yes, but if it had to be paid tomorrow, who would be called into court to pony up the money the government doesn't have? That's right . . . every man, woman, child, and embryo in America is liable for this debt, and if one can't pay it, then another will be found until enough is raised to pay the debt, or the debt is deemed unpayable and we are bankrupt. But wait; to whom is the money OWED? It is not the same "selves" who will have to pay, but a select group of "investors" who have bought our bonds and our snake oil. So we don't really owe the money to ourselves, so much as we owe it to a few of us who sit back and MAKE MONEY day in and day out from the fact that the government can't keep its spending under control. Oh, along with wealthy individuals there are corporations, foreign investors, and mafia thugs who own government securities and get interest on them, but THEY ARE THE ONES WE OWE THE MONEY TO. If we go bankrupt, they lose the same as the rest of us do, so what is going on here? Maybe we can get some idea of the plan by looking at history. Bush himself made a lot of money by ripping off the other stockholders in Harken. Could there be a cadre of Bushitter favorites who will end up with the money while the rest of America ends up with the bill? Look at another of the Bushitter favorites, Enron: I can't prove it, but I am sure that many of the Bushitters made beaucoup money as Enron went belly up; just as Bush's people ripped off the stockholders of Harken, the Enron gang ripped off the employees and stockholders of Enron, taking their gains from the cream on top as the rest of the investors lost everything. So is the overall plan to rape America again and again, this time taking the money and running to the Caymans or other shelters? Another piece of the puzzle falls into place with Neil Bush of Silverado ripoff fame: he is large into, what's this, EDUCATION. Uh oh . . . Neil is part of the firm which is ripping off Philadelphia by taking over the money from the taxpayers for SCHOOLS. They claim to be "improving" the education system, but what proof there is indicates that they are taking over the MONEY and improving their financial statements, but not helping a whit in making the students learn better or faster or more effectively. Then we have executive order after EO relaxing governmental controls on everything from the airwaves to the environment to religion to energy to HMO operation. What part of the strategy does this destruction of the American way of life serve? The simple answer is that it's only campaign payback, but I don't buy it. In short, I think it's Silverado and Harken and whatever else the Bush family have ripped off in the past coming to fruition in a truly gigantic ripoff of the finances of the United States itself. There is no other way to explain why they would destroy the USA. Anyone knows that is what they are doing, and no one seems to be able to grasp that they are doing it for the simplest of reasons, to get the money. There is one additional mystery for me. Why on earth would Daschle and the other 48 Democrats in the Senate allow the Bushitters' tax ripoff to pass into law? They had at least a filibuster for a weapon, and thus could have stopped any stupid and dangerous tax cut, but they did not. The Democrats could have prevailed, even with the loss of Miller, Nelson (NB), Breaux, and Landry, they had well over the 41 Senatorial votes to block cloture, and they did not. Okay, I'm a conspiracy buff, but can YOU think of ANY reason for Democrats to have approved this risky and utterly stupid tax cut which benefitted the wealthy and screwed the poor? Oh, and by the way, the "War on Terror" was planned from way back. The Bushitters may not have paid bin Laden to finance it, or used the Mossad to direct it, but they knew they were going to Afghanistan long before 9/11, and the only excuse they could have used was bin Laden. If he had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, the Bushitters would have planned to frame him for being the mastermind anyway. Guilty or innocent, you might conclude that they did just that since Powell was unable ever to produce the proof he promised about bin Laden's guilt. If there is any proof, and I doubt anything which might have been manufactured by the CIA, it all came later, and wasn't in the possession of the Bushitters when they claim to have decided to go to Afghanistan to retaliate for the 9/11 attacks. It's back to Alan Watts: you can tell where they were going by seeing where they get. Right now they are getting more and more government control over our individual rights and liberties. The Asscoughed plan would seem to indicate that we will be more like Germany of 1937 and Russia of 1950 than we will be like any free country. The economic plan would indicate that they are headed for wiping out the debt by bankruptcy. The "education plan" seems to be to get rid of education for all but the wealthy. I hope I'm wrong, and instead of the indicators meaning such dire happenings, they only mean that the Bushitters are bone stupid. I don't think so, and I think all we have to do now is wait until 2004 to see if the election of a new President is cancelled or perhaps held, lost, and then overturned with military force. 6/14/02 I see that Friday the 13th came on Thursday this week (or month), so we have escaped bad luck once more, and well we should with the bad luck we all have had getting the Bushitters in the shitehouse as our looters. You may wonder why a Bush critic like I doesn't spend more time on Bush the man than I do on the "Bushitters," or the administration, and so I am going to explain. George Witless isn't really worth my time. He is never going to do anything else wrong because he isn't going to be allowed to do anything at all without the express permission of his "keepers." I don't know exactly who makes the real decisions and sets the policy, but I am convinced that an imbecile like Witless cannot possibly be the one doing it. I blame the media for my ignorance, because there is no way I can see to find out for myself who gives the orders and who speaks into his little earpiece when he is pretending to give extemporaneous answers, but if you will grit your teeth, hold your temper, and just listen to his supposed unguarded remarks, you will see what I mean: he appears to be "listening to his mind working" for a while, then spouts out a sentence or two, then listens again, then spouts . . . on occasion you can see his beady little crossed eyes light up as he gets a sentence cued that he can reform and say in words of his own. It is at this point that he likely thinks to himself, "Hey, I'm really the President; I said that sentence in my own words!" I blame him only for allowing the charade to begin and continue. It should have been plain to him that he was incompetent to do this kind of job way back during the campaign, and yet he allowed the oligarchy to talk him into yet another job he couldn't possibly do with his EXTREMELY limited intelligence. You may recall his "off the cuff" remarks at the Jefferson Memorial last year . . . he couldn't understand what the earpiece was telling him, and he got it so garbled that nothing he said could even have been found in his confused mind; it was a random repeating of some of the words which were fed to him, but the end result made no sense at all. He said he read the report . . . but he lied. Likely his reading comprehension is near to zero. So here is someone for whom you should feel sorry. I have a neighbor, a wonderful man named Roy, and he is retarded. I liken the Bush Presidency to what would be if some of us made Roy think we were electing him mayor of our town. He might try to do the job, because he is eager to please, but eventually he would discover that something was wrong with the whole situation, and he would begin to comprehend that he was not really mayor, but the butt of a cruel joke of some kind. George Witless has been made the butt of a cruel joke, but the joke is on the people of America. So to me, "the Bushitters" comprise the oligarchic leadership who have destroyed Democracy in America with the collusion of the corrupt and felonious five on the Supreme Court. I don't know who "the Bushitters" are in person, perhaps James Baker, Bush's father, Frank Carlucci? What I do know is that in watching George Witless over about two and a half years I have yet to see any evidence, any indication that he has a functional brain. Oh, he can get a briefing down if they spend enough time on it I suppose, but he has never been seen to analyze anything and give us an idea of the power of his intellect. I am not fooled by the pictures of him using a pencil and pretending to help write his speeches; those propaganda releases are pitiful. Doing something to prove Witless has a brain will always be useless, pitiful, and insulting. The one other thing for which I blame the imbecile is his not resigning in light of what must be so very painfully obvious to him by now, i.e. that he could never be as much as a pimple on a truly bad President's posterior. I wrote this to Eric Alterman at his own blog: You wrote: "Bush is a liar, but that’s not
the important part. The important part is that he only plays dumb. Ignorance
and stupidity are not the same thing. People mistake the former in Bush
for the latter.
Remember that and don’t get caught in the trap of believing he is actually stupid. . ." Actually I don't remember what I wrote and can't get back to it now, but I criticized Alterman for not providing proof and sources for his attribution of intelligence to the cretin. I certainly have never seen one iota of proof that the witless one has any brain at all , and I suggest to you that he may be in the later stages of syphilis. He is a fool. If any of you have some credible evidence that this imbecile has ever had a cogent thought, please email or link it to me as soon as you can. 6/13/02 Which candidate, running for President of the United States, got more votes than any other man in the history of the Republic? Answer later. We little people out here in America have always known that the government could screw us any way it wanted to, any time it wanted to, and there was nothing at all we could do about it except complain or whine to other people who didn't much care how we got screwed if THEY weren't getting screwed the same way. Most of us don't run around like the ACLU trying to keep the government from screwing people because we figure that it would be a waste of time inasmuch as the government always wins even when it loses. The government screwed Julie Steele cruelly and viciously, and we all agree it is so, but she is still homeless and broke because of Ken Starr, and most of us aren't really all that concerned for poor Julie because we don't have time for it. So the big deal isn't that Padilla has been screwed by the Bushitters for reasons as yet unknown, but the real news about Padilla is actually news about the Bushitters. They are the rulers of the totalitarian state of America. With the Padilla case their arrogance is obvious and overpowering. They no longer deem it necessary to even PRETEND that we the people are the government (remember of , by, and for?); they don't mind us knowing that if we displease them in any way at all, we can be sent to South Carolina or Texas to a concentration camp, and there is no one who can help us escape or even hear us crying out in our misery. Indeed, the Washington Post noted that in the case of Hamdi, another citizen being held without bail and without representation, that, ". . . the government refused to let Mr. Hamdi meet with a federal public defender interested in representing him. And when that lawyer sought to file a case on his behalf anyway, the government then contended in a Kafkaesque twist that, having had no prior relationship with Mr. Hamdi, the lawyer could not do so . . ." It is too bad that about fifty million Americans agree with the Bushitters' brand of Texas justice---you know about that, don't you, where they convict people for crimes they didn't commit because "they are bad people, and if they didn't commit these crimes, then they surely have committed others for which they deserve even more punishment than they will receive"---which more or less says to the citizens, "If you aren't a bad person, you don't have to worry because we won't be doing this to YOU." But who gets to define "bad person?" We can all agree that unless he has experienced an epiphany of sorts, Padilla is a bad person who ought to be kept off the streets of America; but wait a minute! What if he HAS repented his sins and is no longer a drunk driving, drug taking, fornicating, abortion enabling, draft dodging, AWOL from the guard thief who got rich off of stockholders money and condemned land, and is now a gentle and compassionate conservative? If someone just names him a bad person, do we all have to accept that? What they can do to Padilla or Hamdi can be done to any of us. Which candidate, running for President of the United States, got more votes than any other man in the history of the Republic? Answer: Al Gore, 2000. 6/12/02 Enough said anent Padilla-Muhajur; it was and is a cynical mismanagement of the news (propaganda) by the Bushitters. Aside from being proof that Democracy is dead in America, the "dirty bomb" scare is no more than another attempt at distracting us from our criticism of the Bushitters' handling of terrorism in general and specifically what they did and agreed not to do in the days leading up to 9/11. Today's finger points at what is being called a "war" and is not. If we call it a war, and we make our actions those of combatants in a war, then we have conferred on our "enemy" the dignity and respect we are obliged to give an adversary in a real war, which this action should not be. I say, "should not be," because what we did in Afghanistan was somewhat of a war, one in which we did absolutely nothing about terrorism and everything about getting control of Afghanistan so we could then control a pipeline carrying Caspian Sea area oil out to the Arabian Gulf. But the Taliban in Afghanistan were not doing any acts of terrorism that we know about . . . they were only thwarting our efforts to get the oil. Our excuse for going to war against them was bin Laden as a convenience, but our purpose had nothing to do with bin Laden or his supposed al Qa'ida organization. Indeed, the plans for the invasion of Afghanistan were put together long BEFORE 9/11, and awaited only a plausible excuse for their implementation, one which came on 9/11 and will explain why bin Laden was blamed for the attacks without a shred of actual proof that the hijackers ever heard of him or got anything from him but some money, which is available to militant Islamic outfits all over the world anyway. If you wanted to "call" the crusade against Islamic militants bent on terrorism a "war on terror," like you call the attempts at drug interdiction the "war on drugs," or you call anti-crime measures a "war on crime," that might be all right so long as you don't try to attach war powers to the Presidency in the process, and you don't use the operation as an excuse to go boondoggling around the world chasing oil. Unfortunately the Bushitters have decided to use the "war" analogy to a fault, and thus are trying to take advantage of all the attendant patriotism, jingoism, and unity which attends a REAL war, while having no actual enemy to conquer, no leaders who can capitulate and sue for peace, and no forseeable ending to the wartime status of the country. They have even posited military tribunals and other warlike treatment for those they find engaged in terrorist activities. Terrorists aren't soldiers. They are not fighting for their own lives against an adversary. They are murdering innocent people in some misguided attempt at making a "statement" about some political or quasi-religious principle. Terrorists are criminals. Treating them as anything else is dignifying what they do, and there is nothing that they do which is acceptable in a civilized world. The Bushitters have made a grave error by using terrorism as a vehicle for consolidating their totalitarian control of the United States of America. The way THEY, the Bushitters, are going about it, the terrorists can consider themselves as soldiers in a war with the USA. The terrorists should not be given that dignity; they are common murderers, nothing more. How do we stop them then? Obviously you can't deter a suicide bomber with the threat of death as a punishment for his murders. So how DO you deter them from doing what they do? We must change our laws so that we can offer any terrorist caught alive the choice between death and life imprisonment. No we can't do this to people only contemplating "martyrdom," but we can license our own operatives to infiltrate terrorist organizations and begin identifying members of those groups, and then we can make sure that no one identified with such a group will ever walk free over the face of the earth. It is not a perfect solution, but it is far better than the one the Bushitters are using which has destroyed democracy in the USA for the foreseeable future. Further, if you insist on treating terrorists as enemies in a war, then you are forced to EXPECT that they will attack you, your soldiers, your defenses, and your economic base, just as you will attack them in that SAME WAY. Do you think that they will not? I suppose the Bushitters might decide to do the war on drugs and the war on crime in the same way as the war on terror . . . that would mean that no criminal will have any rights, no drug dealer or user will have any rights, and the government will reign supreme over all of us because it won't be required to prove anything in a court of law, only give out some pap about "suspecting" people of crimes or drug use, and we'll never see them again, adios. It's pretty much what they always do in dictatorships anyway, isn't it? 6/11/02 Muhajur? Jose Padilla? What does he have to do with the Florida election debacle? Bear with me for a bit as I recall the total assault by the GOP on Florida when the election was over and the exit polling information was shown to be wrong about Gore winning, and there being a virtual tie between the two Presidential candidates. If you remember it as I do, you know that they sent not only Ted Olson and James Baker to handle the legal and strategic matters, but they also sent Tom DuhLay's thugs down to intimidate vote counters in Dade County. Why was all of this necessary when Katherine Harris had already certified Bush the winner, and the Florida legislature was already poised to name Bush electors to the electoral college? What was the result of all these machinations including the trip to the Supremely corrupt Court for Bush v Gore which you might say installed Bush as President, but you will be surprised to hear that I disagree? Bush was ALREADY going to be President by virtue of the Harris-Feeney axis, because by certifying Bush, Harris gave Feeney (Repub leader of FL legislature) cover to override any Supreme Court of Florida decision and via their US Constitutionally given right, NAME THE ELECTORS. That's right; the voters don't get to do it because the legislature has the Constitutional right to do it as they see fit. So what did Baker, Olson, and all the crooked judges manage to do in Florida and the SC? Why they kept someone, anyone, from counting all six million Florida ballots BY HAND. It was only a matter of time until someone somewhere suggested that remedy for the seeming standoff between Gore and Bush, and it was something that the Republicans didn't want to happen, possibly couldn't stand to happen. Their own witness in one of the hearings, the man who invented the voting machine, said that the only reliable way to determine the winner in very close elections was to count the ballots by hand. Why couldn't the GOP allow that to take place? The best possible answer to that question is that the only reason Bush got close was because the Republican machinery in Florida had arranged for really MASSIVE vote fraud, something based on the computer programs doing the TABULATION of the votes, something which would take every tenth vote for Gore in some counties and tabulate those votes in the Bush column. When you assume that the reason for their frenzied activity to stop the count was based on the sure knowledge that the result of a full hand count of ALL ballots would result in the absolute certainty that massive vote fraud would be uncovered and thus Bush might not just lose the election but go to jail for a long long time, then you can see that it was imperative that no one get into counting votes. So what does this have to do with Muhajir aka Padilla? He is supposed to be a terrorist (Bush is cute when he calls them tuhrists), and as such we should not be disturbed when all our Constitutional rights and privileges have been suspended on his account. I mean that now we no longer have the right to habeas corpus, no longer have the right to confront witnesses against us, no longer have the right to refrain from incriminating ourselves, no longer have the right to a speedy trial, or even a trial at all by any kind of jury, no longer have the right to an attorney and to have him present if we are questioned, and one would assume that we no longer have the right to exclude evidence which has been illegally obtained. Why would this man be arrested? Why would he not be charged? Why would he be made the prime example of how ALL of our Constitutional rights have been made nugatory in this supposed war on tuhrism? Unless he is part and parcel of the coverup of what happened in the Bush administration just prior to the 9/11 attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon, I can't tell you. They have thrown him at us with his "dirty bombs" about which this gangsta punk can know virtually nothing, and they have filled the media with scary stuff so that we will forget about SOMETHING. What is that something? When did the FBI ever arrest a suspect before he identified his accomplices and identified his targets? They let Wen Ho Lee go for YEARS before finally arresting him, and they let Hanssen go for MONTHS before nailing him in the act, and so why have they all of a sudden decided to arrest a man on a reconnaissance mission before he can be followed to see what he reconnoiters? Why would they let him become the poster child for totalitarian state charges against them, for that is just what he is? Why shut him up so thoroughly when others who have done far more were handled via regular courts and regular trials, unless the reason for his detention is to develop the "dirty bomb" theme and divert attention away from what the Bushitters knew pre-9/11, and how they let the attacks happen without raising a finger to stop them? Padilla can't be allowed to talk because if he did then everyone would know that he is not even barely capable of doing dirty bombs or terrorist plots, and then someone would want to know why he was being accused of something so far beyond his capabilities; this way he can't be consulted, and they can claim as much as they like. Unintended consequences: the real story here is our loss of Constitutional protection from our own government. What has been done to a scumbag like Padilla is only important because it can be done to you and me for not one reason at all. You see, they don't have to suspect you of anything, just SAY they suspect you of something. If any American citizen, even a gangbanging ex-con like Muhajir, can be sent to military prison and deprived of legal counsel and tortured and kept without a trial or any confrontation of witnesses against him, and indeed without even a charge made against him, then you can suffer the same exact things if John Asscoughed has any reason for not liking you or the Bushitters in the Shite House have something to cover up that make them want to use you for a diversion. The real story is that the USA is now a totalitarian state; we probably have been since December of 2000 when we note that the Supreme Court was corrupted and compromised. Our Congress is about what you will find in Cuba, China, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, and various banana republics in Central America and Africa, as well as Indonesia, i.e. a corrupt body of toadies who knuckle under to the dictators. 6/10/02 Call it an old baseball superstition if you like, but to defeat the sophomore jinx, I'm going to stay off and out for today; I saw lying Andy Card too many times yesterday for my taste, and there is something badly wrong about lying Tom Ridge's petulant and prissy little mouth. I will give you this non-political observation here: if you go about with your mouth open, smiling or smirking, your breath will stink. The reason for "morning breath" is sleeping with the mouth open so that there is a plentiful supply of oxygen for the various enzymes and other chemicals to use in altering themselves and creating a smelly mess. Hence, if you go around with your mouth open all day, you will have a bad case of halitosis. *********************************************************** And finally for the opening salvo on this "diary," I wanted to link to Mr. Weiner's piece from the Online Journal to agree with him that it is likely the "beginning of the beginning" (of the end) at least of the slavish sycophancy of the media for all things emanating from the Bushitters' Shite House. What else it is the end of remains in doubt from my perspective. Mr. Weiner thinks that if "we," meaning I suppose, "the people," take back the House of Representatives and gain some legislative purchase by also maintaining control of the Senate, then the resulting light shed on the myriad of Bushitters executive orders and arbitrary decisions will be enough to stem the tide of fascism until at last the election of 2004 can administer the coup de grâce so to speak, and we can be shut of the Bushitters for once and all. I'm not so sure that is going to happen even if Democrats or Populists manage to get control of the legislative branches. My fear is that the "war" will allow the Bushitters to complete their coup of December 2000, and once and for all control the USA in the grasp of a totalitarian state run by someone or somethree, but certainly not by anyone as stupid as George Witless Bush, the titular dictator. I add that I fear there will BE no election of a President in 2004 because of the Bushitters' "war powers," if nothing else. What I mean is that when the people drive all the way from Kansas City to Atlantic City, they want to get down to the beach and swim in the ocean, not stay in their hotel rooms or the casinos, and like them, the Bushitters didn't run their coup and corrupt the Supreme Court and the entire Republican organization of the state of Florida, and destroy some of their own like John McCain as well, just to give in and give up the prize without a whimper. They have been very busy getting Mr. Asscoughed real police state powers, and they have been happily making the military their own private army, and I don't think they did all that just to give up and slink away without the Venezuelan oil, the Iranian oil, the Iraqi oil, the Caspian Sea oil, and the stuff from Alaska . . . So what I fear is that the "end" mentioned above may just be the end of the pretending that America has a democracy, pretending America is governed of, by , and for the people, pretending that America is great and good. And when the pretending is over, we are in for some hard times. No more internet, no more blogs, no more unmanaged news, no more freedom, no more dissent, no more elections, no more civil disobedience. And I just don't see how controlling the Congress can stop it. John Dean has an article on the CNN site somewhere . . . you may track it here . . . which talks about "constitutional dictatorship," and I don't think we have long to wait to find out how that works. When the Bushitters control the Executive AND the Supremely corrupt Court, then they can virtually overturn ANYTHING the Congress might do by means of a spurious "Unconstitutional" ruling from their tame crooks, named Rehnquist, Scalia, O'Connor, Kennedy, and Thomas. If these thugs will violate the law and the Constitution the way they did in Bush v Gore, they can be depended upon to do whatever they are told to do I'm sure. So don't be in too much of a hurry to get rid of the Bushitters . . . I think they are here for the long haul, and will be sending people like I to Texas or New Mexico for the concentration camps or the ovens, whichever they decide. Maybe that is why people like Conason, Lyons, Cocco, Parry, Cohen, Reno, and the rest of the chicken six-figure media are afraid to open their mouths about it. ***************************************************************** Coming in even later on the Home Defense, I just heard Ridge saying that the new "department" would be something over and above his own job, which would remain as Homeland Security Director, and the new "department" would merely be a reorganization of agencies under this new umbrella. Balderdash; it is a smokescreen; it has no purpose beyond diverting attention away from the ugly things the Bushitters did pre-9/11 to allow the attacks to happen. I happened on Alan Watts a number of years ago and found in "The Book" an idea I have made my own . . . if you want to know where a person is going, see where his feet take him; pay no attention to where he SAYS he is going, and less to where his feet are pointed; only follow his progress as his feet move in some direction. (I have added to that idea the caution that you must also be careful that your person doesn't head for point A all day, and then under cover of the night, hightail it for point B.) The Bushitters are going nowhere near this gigantic boondoggle they have thrown out to the winds; what they do under cover of darkness is what we have to worry about. ************************************************************ Coming in late on the "Home Defense" nonsense, I have the advantage of hearing all the pundits jawing about all the background of first the Bushitters ignoring it when Rudman and Hart called for it, then jumping to create it AFTER the 9/11 disaster, then saying it shouldn't be a cabinet post, that it had all the power of the Presidency behind it, then secretly plotting to install it as the replacement for Hillary's health plan with all the attendant bureaucracy and appropriations and requiring cabinet status, and how the spin became that somehow when Bush rejected it before, he was simply biding his time until he could use it to upstage Rowley who was busily pointing out the deficiencies in the Bush-Asscoughed-Mueller administration. The Bushitters are happy to blame the FBI for 9/11; they can claim it was CLINTON'S FBI which was at fault, but they are lying. First of all, it was never Clinton's FBI because he saw to it that it could not be so when he hired a Republican partisan like Freeh to run it. Yes, Freeh ran it into the ground, and Clinton is at fault for having (a) hired Freeh, and (b) not fired Freeh, but he can't be blamed for the way Freeh ran the place, nor can Janet Reno who had as much trouble with Freeh as she did Orrin Hatch. Clinton's reasoning was flawed in that he hoped that having a shill for the GOP in the FBI, that they could never accuse him of using the Bureau for political purposes like Bush did and Reagan did and Nixon did and Johnson did and Kennedy did. However I do have something to say about this
massive government shift . . . it is a smokescreen pure and simple, nothing
more, nothing less. It has nothing to do with protecting the people and
property of America . . . nothing at all. As has been pointed out too many
times already, there really isn't any way to stop a smart terrorist from
doing evil. Period. What this silliness is designed to cover up is what
went on pre 9/11 in the top echelons of the Bush administration to keep
from finding out about the terrorist plan to hit buildings in New York
and Washington, AND what went on in Cheney's energy meetings with
respect to an invasion of Afghanistan to overthrow the Taliban and install
a puppet government which would let American oil interests promote a pipeline
for Caspian Sea oil. Cheney is stonewalling what went on in his energy
meetings, and everyone else is stonewalling what they had to do to keep
from knowing enough about the impending attacks on America to stop them.
Oh, I don't blame them for trying to cover this up; what they have done
is shameful, and if it ever comes out, impeachment and removal are the
least of their worries.
My point here is to ask what good it does to ask people questions about matters of which they know so little that their answers are useless? Of the five or ten thousand executive orders issued by the Bush administration so far, how many have been reported in the media at all, and how many would the respondents to the poll recognize and understand? The question, "Do you approve or disapprove of the way President Bush is doing his job," ought to be more at, "How are YOU doing these days; got a good job, nice house, serviceable car, good schools and clothes for your children, and plenty to eat, along with nice vacations twice a year?" You see, the people the pollsters call randomly on the phone haven't a clue about how well the President is doing his job---or even IF he is doing it himself or has someone behind the scenes doing it for him. In other words, a 75% approval for a President translates to "Hell, what do I know about how he's doing whatever he does? I've got a good life, and he hasn't managed to screw it up yet, so I'll give him a passing grade until something messes me up; then, even if he wasn't responsible for what happened to me, I'll switch and put my thumb down on his sorry butt." ************************************************************ A "blog" is more properly called a "Web Log" and it comprises a sort of diary of personal statements by the writer of the log. I know of no rules or requirements for such things, and suggest that we can do as we choose about most of it. I have deep feelings about my country, its people, and the direction in which our leaders seem to be going, and if I don't say something to someone somewhere some time, then I am not trying to help solve the problem, but am part of the problem myself with my own apathy. What makes me think anyone cares what I think? Nothing. What makes me suppose that my thoughts or ideas will make a difference? Nothing. But if someone by chance got directed to my statements and got from them ONE TINY GERM which led to one good idea which was used to help America recover, then it behooves me to do what I can to make it possible for that happenstance to occur. Does it matter what my education is or was? No. Does it matter whether I can present a solid resume of successful ventures which would lead others to follow my words with great interest and respect? No. What is important is WHAT IS SAID, not who said it or how erudite or educated the person who uttered the words might have been. Oh, I can put my education next to any and not have to be ashamed. I can say I was a top flight rocket scientist and not be lying. I can claim to have been a professional writer of fiction and not be lying. But who cares? The sad truth is that my college graduated some idiots in the same Chemical Engineering class with me who were incompetent and accident prone. Of the "forty top flight rocket scientists" sent by Hercules Powder Company to Salt Lake City in 1958 to design and produce the third stage of the Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system (quote from both the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News) there were probably two or three who were brilliant, some who were damned good, some who were average, and two or three who were idiots who shouldn't be allowed out without a keeper. So what? The blog is about what we say, not about who we are. If what I have to say makes sense, then it doesn't matter if I am a truck driver, a longshoreman, a garbage collector, or a brain surgeon. And if what I say is wrongheaded and stupid, then it won't matter if I have a dozen degrees from as many Universities. In my experience I find that intelligence is not related to education in university. True, you are more apt to find it among physicists than you are among construction workers, but it is not given only to physicists, and it is not prohibited to construction workers. Enough of the preliminary stuff . . . let's move on to what I'm about here: a criticism of the idiot boy President, George Witless Bush, and his rich friends, though "rich" may be an unnecessary qualifier since he has never had a poor friend, and very likely has never bothered to know a poor person. |
