Crux, The Coalsack & Eta Carinae   April 1, 1998. Ayers Rock, Australia   This single image is a composite of two shots taken with the 165mm Lens. These were composited on top of a single 105mm shot of the same region which was used to fill in the gaps. Finally, a higher resolution view of Eta Carinae was overlaid.    The original negatives were scanned with a UMAX Powerlook 3000 Scanner, Blended & Composited using Picture Window, and processed with Adobe Photoshop 4.0.   Return to Southern Gallery Return to Main Menu   © 1998,1999 David Churchill
