Well, I said
I have sampled them all. I didn't say I had actually tried them all. I have
never paraglided. However due to my hang gliding activities I have been
exposed to and involved with paragliding and some of it's devotee's. It
looks like a lot of fun and probably the next best thing to hang gliding.
They just look so unusual in the air. A hang glider looks so much cooler.
IMHO (In My Humble Opinion) anyway.
I hope I don't sound like I am anti-paragliding. The more the merrier! I think
it is cool ! Plus there are sites with not road access that you wouldn't ever
consider hiking a hang glider into. Believe me, I have hiked a hang glider
up a mountain before and it is not much fun. Maybe one of these days I will
give paragliding a try. ;-)
So instead
of trying to compile a comprehensive paragliding page. I am going to refer
you to the excellent site already on the web at flyroanoke.com
maintained by a local paraglider pilot Kermon.
If you are looking for a paragliding school or dealer in the area, I have several links on my hgparks page. And some manufacturer links on the wings and hggear pages.
I
might eventually add some more paragliding links here someday. So check back
again.
