G-Force Launch

G-Force Launching at Kentland Farms, VA

The G-Force made it's maiden flight at Whitakers, NC June 22, 2002!
Click for pictures from the June Whitakers, NC launch

Above is my first mid power rocket an Aerotech G-Force. With a 4" diameter body and 5' tall, it is one of the biggest rockets in the Aerotech line. It is shown flying on a G motor. I have modified it since it's initial flights to a 38mm motor mount from the original 29mm mount. It has flown on a Pro38 G and H since the mods and still some Aerotech 29mm G's with a 38/29mm adapter. I guess an I motor is next for it.

I would like to thank Jeff Davenport (aka JD Cluster) for his helpful replies to my e-mail questions. I copied most of the links on this page from his site. Please click this first link to go to his site and be amazed at the awesome multi-motor cluster and two stage rockets he has built and flown. There is a bunch of great photos on his site of his high power rockets. Maybe one of these days I will get to that level.
